The Haggin Museum, an art and history museum, has been referred to by Sunset magazine as “one of the undersung gems of California.” Its art collection features works by such noted 19th-century painters as Albert Bierstadt, Rosa Bonheur, and William-Adolphe Bouguereau, as well as many other American and European artists. Great local and regional history too. Don't forget to make a stop by the gift store!
The Haggin Museum's public hours are 1:30-5:00 p.m. Wednesday through Sunday, and 1:30-9:00 p.m. on the 1st and 3rd Thursdays of each month (check their events page for special programming on these late night openings). The Museum Store is open 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. The museum and museum store are closed Mondays, Tuesdays, and select holidays.
