The city is full of life and energy as the weather continues to warm up! Despite a rainy Easter Sunday, it was wonderful for most of the weekend to enjoy outdoor activities, such taking the sailboat out and kicking up your feet along the beautiful San Joaquin Delta.
Thousands from across the state flocked to the Stockton Cambodian Buddhist Temple (Wat Dhammararam) for the Cambodian New Year festival over the weekend. The three-day gathering featured traditional live performances, dancing, arts and crafts, and, of course, authentic Cambodian cuisine!
The Stockmarket moved to Caldwell Park at Pacific and Alpine Avenues. It’s the third location for the pop-up market, which started in downtown Stockton in 2014. The event featured over 100 vendors scattered throughout the park, along with gourmet food trucks, and live entertainment. The next event is scheduled for Saturday, May 20th.
Everyone was invited to attend Channel Brewing’s official grand opening event on Saturday. Many celebrated with a brew on hand inside their new taproom on the ground floor of historic Belding Building. The event featured live music, food from downtown area restaurants, and, of course, delicious beer!
Sikhs' roots are strong in Stockton! Thousands of Sikh worshipers converge to celebrate on Easter Sunday, as part of a weekend celebration highlighted by the annual Vaisakhi Day Parade. The Sikh parade brightens streets of south Stockton, every year to educate, celebrate culture, and embrace equality.
The holiday weekend included several events for children celebrating Easter. There was no shortage of ways to celebrate in Stockton!
