Friday, June 16
Each Summer, the Lincoln Center Annual Wine Stroll transforms retail establishments into wine tasting destinations. Over 20 businesses participated in Friday's stroll, pairing red and white wine samples (some even featured local craft beer) with delicious hors d'oeuvres from local restaurants. The event is a great way to tour new businesses and see just what makes Lincoln Center special to the community.
The hot weather may have affected some fair attendance, but overall families made their way to the San Joaquin County Fairgrounds for the San Joaquin County Fair, which was held June 14-18. The fair was stocked full of carnival rides and games, delicious fair food, local arts & crafts, and farm animals - a summer Stockton tradition for the entire family!
Saturday, June 17
Early Saturday morning, bike enthusiast enjoyed a leisurely bicycle ride along Feather River Road. The beginners group ride, held every Saturday is perfect for anyone who wants to connect with other riders in the area. The free casual ride starts at 9am at Performance Bicycle in Lincoln Center, and explores the city's many bike-friendly roads and trail in the area.
There was plenty of shade to go around for the monthly makers' market - Stocktmarket is a must on your "Things To Do" list - held every third Saturday (through September) at Caldwell Park, from 10am to 4pm. The market on Saturday, June 17 opened at 9am due to sweltering forecast.
The early-morning opening allowed families to enjoy the market's amenities before the heat settled in.
Boating on the California Delta is one of the most popular weekend activities during the summer season. On hot summer days you'll see an abundance of boats on the water, from tiny aluminum fishing boats to sail boats - which can give you an entirely different view of a sunset on the water.
Sunday, June 18 - Father's Day
A Father's Day visit to the Stockton Open Air Flea Market! This market offers a wide range of items including new and used clothing, old treasures, bicycles, and also, look for an array of fresh produce. The market can get packed, we suggest visiting early or after 1pm for ease of parking; the open air mall is a popular place to pick up bargains!
The summer heat wave had many craving a sweet frozen treat. Ice cream is no doubt a nostalgic (and effective) way to cool down on hot summer days, and makes it the perfect time to indulge! Gleason Ice Cream parlor has been serving the community for decades on 501 N Sierra Nevada Street, too!
It's all about the shot! A gorgeous sunset to wrap up Father's day Weekend in Stockton. Share your photos and videos with #visitstockton on Instagram for a chance to be featured on our social media channels.
