Friday, August 4

A series of recent colorful pop-up chalk drawings can be found throughout downtown Stockton. This creative drawing was found on the intersection of Weber and El Dorado. Local artist, Joy Neas, regularly chalks up sidewalks throughout downtown Stockton.

The Buddhist Church of Stockton held its annual Japanese Food Festival and Bon Odori on Saturday and Sunday. The event celebrates the local Buddhist community and their traditions. It is a great place to take family and friends to enjoy live cultural entertainment and delicious Japanese cuisine.

Saturday, August 5

Saturday marked National Disc Golf Day. The 180-acre Oak Grove Regional Park is a favorite destination for Stockton residents who want to get out and play disc golf!

 

Sometimes, history tastes good, and even on weekends! A visit to the 99-year-old Genova Bakery to satisfy a carbo-load craving! This obscure treasure trove of carbs heaven offers fresh baked breads from foccacia to sourdough, this is no SF Boudin!

Saturday night cap! Sip a little wine and listen to live music, Mile Wine Company offers an array of live music every Friday and Saturday evening. Stockton provides a diversity of live music venues that fits your mood!

Sunday, August 6

It was an opportunity to take time to gather children and their friends and make a visit to Pixie Woods! August 6 was Friendship Day! The children's park celebrated the holiday accordingly by offering free admission with one paid admission.

Sipping wine on Sorelle Winery's patio on a lazy Sunday Afternoon. This winery is the perfect spot for a picnic and some wine. This historic winery is located in Stockton and home to the Dodge House.

An alternative shopping experience brought shoppers to Sherwood Mall on Sunday afternoon. A unique pop-up Stockmarket offered a curated selection of the area’s best makers, artists and vintage boutiques.
