The Stockton Branch of the Fleet Reserve Association will be hosting a celebration of the 237th birthday of the United States Navy. The preparations for the event are well underway!

The 2012 Navy Birthday Ball will take place at the Hilton Hotel, 2323 Grand Canal Blvd., Stockton, CA on 13 October 2012. The social hour will begin at 6:00 PM. Dinner will start at 7:00 PM. Dancing will follow.

The keynote speaker for the event is slated to be RADM Bonnie Burnham Potter. Rear Admiral Potter was the first female physician in the Navy Medical Corps to be selected for flag rank. She served as the commanding officer of the National Naval Medical Center at Bethesda, Maryland and Chief of the Navy Medical Corps. She has gracefully accepted our invitation to speak at the Navy's birthday celebration.

Entertainment for the evening will be provided by the RB/X band of Stockton. The readers of the Stockton Record have voted RB/X band the "Best Band of San Joaquin" for the years 2009, 2010 and 2011. We're confident that they will receive that honor again this year.

The cost for this year's entire event is $40 per person. Tickets can be purchased from members of the Stockton Branch 113 of the FRA. Registration forms are available in person or by downloading the form online.
