The exhibit will open Tuesday, February 2, and continue through Thursday, February 25.

A reception for students, friends and families will be hosted Friday, February 12, from 5-8 p.m.
Awards will be presented at 6 p.m. with Mayor Ann Johnston assisting. Tim Ulmer, of Ulmer Photography, will take photos for the students and their families.

Made possible through sponsorship by Food 4 Less/Rancho San Miguel, this annual event is a professional juried show with local students entering their works for consideration. Last year over 100 works were accepted and exhibited. This is the seventh year the Tidewater Gallery has offered a student show and it has grown considerably over the years. This should be the biggest yet, according to show chair Susan Winton, a Tidewater Gallery member artist.

Best of Show, first, second, third and honorable mention awards will be given in twelve categories including but not limited to photography, graphic arts, sculpture, oil and watercolor.
Entries will also be accepted in the relatively new categories of digital graphic and fine arts, and cinematography. Other elements of the show include visitations of gallery artists in classrooms to talk about the show and discuss art topics.

The Tidewater Art Center & Gallery, an artists' collaborative located directly across the street from the county Courthouse at 223 E. Weber Avenue, is open Monday-Friday from 10:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.
