Stockton, California

This "screwball comedy from the 1930s" will be staged by Delta College students!  It is the winter of 1940 and famous radio personality Sheridan Whiteside has come to dinner at the home of Mr. & Mrs. Stanley. Slipping on a piece of ice on their doorstep, he breaks his hip and is forced to spend the holiday season with the Stanley family. A tumultuous six weeks of confinement follow during which the Stanley living room is monopolized by the irascible invalid and his staff. Convicts from a women's prison are invited to meals, movie stars come to visit and strange gifts begin to arrive, including a crate of penguins, an octopus, 10,000 cockroaches and a mummy case!
