It time for our third LIVE! event, the much anticipated “Classic Car Show!” It’s FREE!!
Promises to deliver top-notch musical performances, a huge display of classic cars, brand new vehicles and fun for everyone! This huge event not only provides entertainment and a great time, but also helps support valuable non-profit organizations in our community. This month’s LIVE! At Lincoln Center is a great way to come out and visit with friends and have fun in our great community.
Once again Stockton Wheel partners with Lincoln Center for the much-anticipated car show. Frank Mauro, Jr. of Stockton Wheel (Stockton Native and LHS Graduate), hosts the car show to benefit Lincoln High School and Students through the Lincoln Alumni Foundation so keep on the lookout for volunteers selling raffle tickets for their 50/50 raffle! Performing on the main stage in Lincoln Center South will be local favorite Bobby McDowell.
Also in attendance on the north side will be The Partime Band, another local favorite, performing popular songs for all ages. Returning will be our sponsor, vendor and charity booths. Big Valley Ford Lincoln Mercury, Stockton Honda and Toyota Town of Stockton will have vehicles on display as well representatives on site to demonstrate and answer any questions (sales and or deposits are not allowed on premises) along with community booths and of course our popcorn, cotton candy and shaved ice booths will be on location for your enjoyment.
Popcorn and cotton candy is available for purchase for only $1 and shaved ice (in a variety of flavors) will be on sale for $3 each. And just look what are merchants have in store for you: American Hearing Aids will invite High School students to compete in a Hot Rod Design Contest. First-prize winners will each receive a cash prize of $100.00 in 15 yr., 16 yr., 17 yr. and 18 yr. old divisions. Judges will consider color and paint designs for a 1957 Chevy. Entries will be on display at American Hearing Aids on LIVE! At Lincoln Center Classic Car Show. Entry forms, rules and templates are available at American Hearing Aids. D.A.D.’s Dogs will be serving their specially made hot dogs in front of their store with a collection of stained glass novelties including classic cars and other unique car memorabilia crafts for sale.
Fleet Feet is hosting a Brooks Trance 9 Try On Party with a free gift just for trying on the shoe. They’ll also be out front in the parking lot with tents and goodies. Special deals on apparel and other items throughout the store.
Podesto’s Market and Deli will be offering their yummy tri-tip sandwiches for $5 along with sodas and water for $1.
State Farm Associates will be handing out complimentary water bottles and beach balls to the owners of the classic cars as they check in. Fine Wines of Stockton will have wine tasting from 5 p.m. – 8 p.m. Join Draper’s & Damon’s for their Draper’s Dollars event! Enjoy special savings, gift card drawing and refreshments. Everyone Saves with Draper’s Dollars! ‘Made by Mo’ returns to offering hand painted items for children at Ocean Avenue Bed and Bath. Choose from a selection of toy tubs, keepsake boxes, pencil boxes, baby wipe cases and the list goes on.
Everybody’s favorite kitty, Hello Kitty, will make a special appearance at Campbell’s in the Village. Sundance Sports will do a skate demo in front of the store and bring in skaters to do various tricks, moves and grinds with a DJ to keep things moving. Calling All Handbag Lovers - Receive a Pandora purse hanger (a $25 value) with your purchase of $100 or more of Pandora jewelry. Stop by Carats to purchase the latest summer glass and limited edition grape charms. Shomi will be passing out a free Shomi t-shirt to customers with a Shomo receipt larger than $50 and will also be launching their shaved iced dessert treat 'kakigori' aka 'halo halo' at half price of $3. Village Barbers will have Don Garibaldi performing outside their barbershop and will offer free hot dogs and soda for those who make a donation to Packed with Pride. They will also be bringing in a military vehicle and other surprises. New Yen Ching will be serving an assortment of appetizers and ‘walkable’ food for sale outside their restaurant. Meyer’s Fashion Optical will host a Maui Jim Trunk Show. There will be no Wine Walk or Kids Zone for this event as we need ample space for all those classic rides, but they both will return for our final LIVE! At Lincoln Center of 2009 on September18th.
