Members of the Military Vehicle Collectors of California (MVCC) and the WW II Military Commemorative Association (WW2MCA) will be participating in a Memorial Day Logistics Movement to commemorate the sacrifices, made by our servicemen and women, past and present, who have given their lives to protect the freedom of all Americans.
The convoy will start at the Cherokee Memorial Park, located at Hwy 99 & E Harney Lane in Lodi at 0900 hours (9:00 am). The route will include stops at four more cemeteries and four American Legion Halls throughout the San Joaquin County. Stops will include the San Joaquin Cemetery in Stockton, the Park View Cemetery in Manteca, the Union Memorial Cemetary in Manteca and the Collegeville Cemetery on E. Mariposa Rd in Stockton. The visits to the American Legion Halls will include Post No. 22 in Lodi, the Karl Ross Post No. 16 Hall and Ed Stewart Post 803, both in Stockton as well as the McFall Grisham Post No. 249 in Manteca. Unfortunately, due to time constraints, we will be unable to visit the James McDermott Hall, post 172, in Tracy, CA.
The ‘Logistics Movement’ encompasses approximately 75.3 total miles and will be driven entirely in vintage military vehicles, primarily jeeps. An ‘After Action Report’ will be held at the original A&W Restaurant located at 612 Lodi Ave in Lodi.
