A duo exhibit at the Tidewater Art Center & Gallery in March will feature an assortment of photographic works by Record photographers, and ceramics and sculptures by San Joaquin Potters Guild member Doreen Heath.
Entitled "Off the Record", the exhibit opens March 2 and runs through April 2.
A "Meet-the-Artists" reception will be held on Friday, March 12, from 5-8 p.m.
The selection of images from The Record's four-person photography department is a mix of personal and professional work. Each photographer sees the world in their own unique way, capturing moments in time that reflect the world around them. The images, selected by Calixtro Romias, Clifford Oto, Craig Sanders and Micheael McCollum, range from hard news to sports to portraits to beautiful scenic images.
Modesto artist Doreen Heath is known for her vibrantly colorful and imaginative works of art. She began her pursuit of artistic expression over 30 years ago and has worked in many mediums both in two dimensional and three dimensional works. Her involvement with the arts has included 17 years of teaching art.
The Tidewater Art Center & Gallery, an artists' collaborative located directly across the street from the county Courthouse at 223 E. Weber Avenue, is open Monday-Friday from 10:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.
