Saturday: Deep Fried Asparagus Eating Competition (IFOCE) & Great Spear-It Run
Plenty of Fun - Be sure to check out the great asparagus dishes in Asparagus Alley, or try a tasty beverage in the Spear-Its of the Valley tent! And you can't miss festival favorites - the Skyy Dogs, Sea Lion Encounter and Tyson, the Skateboarding Bulldog. New this year is the Velocity Circus - guaranteed to be been a hit with everyone! Also don't miss the flyover by the Patriots Jet Air Team after the concert on Saturday! Kids will enjoy the many rides and games in the Asparazone, while adults can learn from the pros in the Celebrity Kitchen featuring Martin Yan. Want to cruise on the Delta? Be sure to catch a ride with the Delta River Cruises' two-deck cruise boat. And shopping, there is plenty. Much to see and buy in the Arts & Crafts area, the Home & Garden Expo, the Stockton Certified Farmers Market and there at the hundreds of other vendors!
DRIVING DIRECTIONS:
From the Bay Area: Take 680 East to 580, follow 580 through Tracy where it turns into 205. Highway 205 runs into I-5 north. Follow I-5 to Hwy 4, the cross town freeway, bear to the right, take the first exit, Lafayette St. At the second light, turn left on El Dorado St. and follow signs to parking. MAP
From Sacramento: Take I-5 south towards Stockton. Take the Hwy 4 E exit toward Hwy 99/ Downtown Stockton, then take the exit toward Downtown Stockton, and stay straight to go onto E Lafayette St. Then turn left onto El Dorado St. and choose a parking lot. MAP
