Stockton Yacht Club is sponsoring its annual opening day parade of the yachting season and will be celebrating its 80th year anniversary.

Led by the Port of Stockton fireboat, the boats in the parade will form up at light #39 at 1:30PM and then head up to Weber Point Events Center at 2 PM for judging.
They will then return to the Stockton Yacht Club to celebrate the Spring Opening and the Club anniversary.
The boat decoration theme this year is Bonnie & Clyde. These colorful characters of the 30ies depict the years when the Stockton Yacht Club was forming.

Awards will be given for 1st, 2nd, & 3rd, best decorated boats, 34ft and above and 1st,2nd, & 3rd boats under 34, and best over-all.

The entry fee of $10.00 will be donated to the Red Cross for Haitian disaster relief.

Registration can be made at the Stockton Yacht Club on Friday, April 23rd from 5-8 PM and Saturday, April 24th from10 AM –12 noon, or by mail to Parade, 3060 Canal Drive, Stockton, CA 95204.
Checks are payable to Stockton Yacht Club.

Evening celebration: Cocktails at 5PM and dinner 6PM at SYC for $15.00.
