Annual Sikh Parade & Festival

The Stockton Sikh Temple, the oldest Sikh temple in the country, invites the public out for a parade and celebration.

This event brings upwards of 20,000 people to the Stockton Sikh Temple! Admission is free. Every year, rain or shine, an increasing number of Sikh devotees and spectators flock to Stockton City, California for festivities and the time honored tradition of Nagar Kirtan, a parade featuring devotional hymns. The parade leaves at 12:00pm and returns to the temple by 4:00pm.

All are welcomed. No matter what race, color, religion you are, please come and join the Stockton Sikh Temple. Come support and learn the Sikh religion, traditions and the brotherhood which serves the humanity with pride.

Traffic Advisory:

There will be road closures along the Parade route starting at 11:00 a.m.

The Parade route is as follows:


(START) at the Sikh Temple St and E 5th St.
West on E 5th St to San Joaquin St.
North on San Joaquin St to Washington St.
East on Washington St to California St
South on California St to 5th St
East on 5th St
(END) Sikh Temple St and E 5h St.
