HATS! The Musical

Event Type: Live Entertainment

Date: Wednesday, March 10, 2010 - Saturday, April 3, 2010
Location: Stockton Civic Theatre
2312 Rose Marie Lane, Stockton

Beginning Wednesday, March 10, and running through Saturday, April 3, 2010, Stockton Civic Theatre will present HATS!, a musical sensation written by Marcia Milgrim Dodge and Anthony Dodge, with blockbuster song arrangements by Doug Besterman, Susan Birkenhead, Michele Brourman, Kathie Lee Gifford, and many more.

Bobbie Wallinger, a well-known local advocate and volunteer representative of Stockton Civic Theatre, will serve as Director.

A Musical Revue in one act, Hats! is the type of show where spunk and spirit rule over deep epiphanies or convincing characterizations. A patchwork of pop from a plethora of songwriters, the numbers here revolve around themes associated with women growing older, acknowledging the challenges while always accentuating a sense of victory.

Inspired by stories, experiences and mission of the Red Hat Society, Hats! is about a 49.999-year-old woman who reluctantly faces the inevitable BIG-FIVE-OH until she meets several remarkable women who teach her about fun, friendship and forgetting about things that simply don't matter anymore.

HATS! will feature a special $15 per seat preview on Wednesday, March 10, 2010 at 7:30 p.m. A reception for opening night patrons will be held at the theatre on Friday, March 12, at 7:00 p.m., with hors d'oeuvres by Angelina's Spaghetti House. Performances continue through Saturday, April 3, on Thursdays at 7:30 p.m., Fridays and Saturdays at 8:00 p.m. and Sundays at 2:30 p.m.

There will be no Easter Sunday performance on the show's closing weekend, but an extra matinee has been added on March 27. Tickets are $25 for adults, $21 for seniors, and $15 for students and children 12 and under. HATS! is rated "PG-13" for mature content.

For tickets to HATS!, contact the SCT Box Office Tuesday through Friday, 1:00 - 5:00 p.m.
