2008 Stockton Rodeo Postponed
Plans continue for 2009 event
For Immediate Release: September 5, 2008
STOCKTON, California –The 2008 Stockton Rodeo has been postponed but efforts are underway to continue planning for 2009. “We have a really big vision for this rodeo and want to present the very best event for the City of Stockton and participating sponsors and deliver something for rodeo and music fans that will become a yearly tradition in their entertainment schedules,” said rodeo director, Dave Arnone. “This was a very ambitious plan for our first rodeo and we feel that we need more time to coordinate the many details that will make this rodeo spectacular. We really appreciate the support of the sponsors and hope to retain them for next year and return even more value to them.”
Promoters also said that the response from the community has been tremendous and that this response encourages them to continue their efforts to “put the Stock back in Stockton.” Several major recording artists were scheduled to appear and every effort will be made to present the same level of entertainment in 2009.
