Stockton Asparagus Festival
When: Always the Fourth Weekend in April (April 25-27, 2008)
Where: Stockton Downtown Waterfront, Stockton, CA
Recognized by Sunset Magazine as a "Best of the West Food Fest", the Stockton Asparagus Festival features two performing stages, an Asparagus Alley with the best deep fried asparagus found anywhere, one of the finest celebrity chef cooking demonstration kitchens, a fabulous Spear-Its of the Valley wine and beer pavilion, a craft show, exhibits by more than 70 food purveyors and 100 specialty merchandise vendors, and much more! What began in 1985 has become a premier food fest of California!

Stockton Ag Expo & REXPO
When: January 22-24, 2008
Where: San Joaquin Fairgrounds, Stockton, CA
The Stockton Ag Expo & Family Ranch Show, the largest annual agricultural show in northern California. Stockton Ag Expo is a "regional" farm show, drawing farmers and agri-businesses from Northern California, Oregon, Washington, Northern Nevada and other parts of the nation. Everything in the latest agricultural equipment and supplies needed for successful farming will be on display. Show also includes the REXPO, a recycling exposition that will showcase products made from recycled items, and exhibit manufacturers of these products as well as those companies that collect recycled materials and divert them from landfills.

Brubeck Festival
When: March 31 - April 5, 2008
Where: University of the Pacific, Stockton, CA
The Brubeck Festival is an annual event that celebrates the musical, intellectual, and philosophical ideas of Dave Brubeck, as well as his influence on the world of music and ideas. The Festival features musical performances of jazz, contemporary concert music, lectures, and symposia.
In its first several years, the Festival has featured many performing organizations including the Dave Brubeck Quartet, Christian McBride Trio, Capital Jazz Project, Turtle Island String Quartet, David Grisman Quintet, Clayton-Hamilton Jazz Orchestra, Poncho Sanchez Latin Jazz Band, SFJazz Collective, Talujon Percussion Quartet, Quartet San Francisco, Stockton Symphony Orchestra, Pacific Mozart Ensemble, Ballet NY, and many of the ensembles of Pacific’s Conservatory of Music.

Festival of Lights
& Lighted Boat Parade
When: First Saturday in December
Where: Weber Point, Stockton, CA
Mayor Edward Chavez and friends will light the city's official Christmas Tree at 5:30 p.m. The beautiful holiday landmark is powered by thousands of energy-efficient LED lights provided by PG&E. Santa Claus will arrive on a fire truck to visit with families and children, then head for the waterfront to see the bright spirit of the 27th annual Delta Reflections Lighted Boat Parade make its turnaround at McLeod Lake between Weber Point and the Stockton Arena. Make it an evening with some hot chocolate and skating at the Ice on the Delta rink. |

4th of July All-America Community Celebration
When: 4th of July
Where: Downtown Waterfront, Stockton, CA
Beginning with the annual parade, Waterfest is an all day family event which includes great food and entertainment. The evening is finished off by a spectacular fireworks display to the sounds of the Stockton Symphony.
