12 Division II collegiate women’s golf teams and six individuals have earned a bid to the NCAA Division II Women’s Golf Championships and their first stop on their journey to a national title will be at the West Regional at Brookside Country Club. Expect some really impressive scores at this event as some of the top golfers in Division II show off their skills — some of whom already have advanced knowledge of the course after participating in the Visit Stockton Golf West Regional Preview on February 14 & 15.
With a successful debut in 2021, the OTB Disc Golf Amateur Open has returned to Swenson Park Golf Course! The three-day tournament will include their “Night at the Ballpark”, presented by Prplei on Saturday, May 14 at Banner Island Ballpark. If you've ever been curious about Disc Golf, now is the time!
Stockton will be filled with top-ranked collegiate golfers once again just a few weeks after the Division II Women’s Golf Regional, this time as the Men’s Division I athletes make their way to The Reserve at Spanos Park. This one is for all the marbles as the winners advance to the national championship tournament, so expect some expert-level golf to be played.
Held at Swenson Park Golf Course, the top dogs in Disc Golf face-off in Stockton’s stop on the Pro Tour. These experienced talents will put on a show for the Stockton community on one of the city's beautiful courses. Plus, all kids ten and under get to enjoy this event for free with a ticketed adult. Definitely a fun experience for the entire family or group of friends.
The West Coast Conference (WCC) has expanded its tournament to feature the conference’s top six teams at the conclusion of regular-season play. The top squads will battle it out over the course of four days at Banner Island Ballpark. The stakes couldn’t be higher as the top team will come away from the tournament as the WCC champion and earn a bid to the NCAA tournament. If you're a baseball fan, this event will be incredible as some of the top young players of tomorrow will be out on the field. You'll likely be watching several future big leaguers before they make it to the show.
From great golfers to golfing for a great cause, the inaugural tournament is raising funds for the Stockton Sports Foundation, a partner of Visit Stockton. The foundation is a non-profit that uses funds to help bring more junior, collegiate, amateur, and professional sporting events to the city. These events provide tremendous economic impact to Stockton by attracting large amounts of participants and their families who spend time and money. This fundraiser tournament will be held at The Reserve at Spanos Park.
The Stockton Sports Foundation is still seeking sponsorships for this event. To learn more about the Sport City Golf Tourney and how you can be involved, click here.
