American Waffle Diner, formerly America Waffles, opened in 2009 for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. They serve a wide variety of breakfast options including omelets, pancakes, waffles, chicken and waffles, French toast, breakfast burritos, and combo breakfasts. They proudly serve their homemade waffle batter and pancake batter and specialize in fresh homemade Crepes. For lunch, they serve burgers, sandwiches, salads, and fresh crepes. Breakfast and lunch items are served all day. Dinner Menu includes appetizers, seafood, fried chicken, hand cut steak grilled chicken, veggie burgers, hot sandwiches, and many many more.

American Waffle was the first time I had waffle and chicken. My husband used to work there for a short time and I told him ok I’ll try it and oh my goodness I’m glad I did very delicious along with this being a 5 star place to eat. I even took my sister and family they enjoyed it a lot. Thank you I wish you had several locations.

I like it when I enter a restaurant and am greeted by the hostess. It's my 1st time there. I love clean & organized atmospheres. Didn't have to wait long for the food. The waitress was friendly and checked on me throughout my visit. I give an A+ on the ground beef patty served with 2 eggs, hashbrowns, and wheat toast. Even though the eggs came out jiggly (🤪 uugh), they quickly corrected the cook time to fried hard. I loved 😍 the hashbrowns they weren't oily and old tasting. The hamburger patty was moist & tasty. I only drank water, but I believe mimosas are available here 🥳😅. If you're in the area, Dont sleep on this spot, give them a try. 1 of the better places I've eaten at here. Nice breakfast spot (I had my car serviced across the street from here) 👍🏼I read my book as I dined in peace.

03/27/2023: This was my first visit to this restaurant. Hubby had the gyro with fries and salad. I had the club sandwich with a salad. The food was good. I had a bite of the gyro, and it had flavor from the tatziki sauce. The fries were good but lacked salt. The salad was average - romaine, tomatoes, red onions, and shredded cheese. The ranch dressing needed some seasoning. I had the American Club on sourdough. The sandwich was loaded with the usual - turkey, ham, bacon, lettuce, and tomato. However, the sandwich was dry, and I was dipping it in my leftover ranch dressing. Service was average. We were immediately seated and able to place our order in a timely manner. After receiving our food, the servers walked by a couple of times and checked in on us. There was hardly anyone in the restaurant, and they servers ended up in the back of the dining area talking loudly about the work schedule. I'm happy I have this place a try, but I'm not sure if I'd return.

I tried this place for the first time last week because a friend recommended it to me…. and let me tell you, I freakin love this place. The food was amazing, the service was great, the food came out so fast. The portion sizes are generous, it’s reasonably priced and it’s cute as hell in there. My husband and I went together but now we can’t wait to bring the rest of our family back with us.

I ordered turkey bacon and scrambled eggs. The eggs and hashbrowns were good. The turkey bacon was not crispy enough for my liking. I would definitely go back. Very cute, clean, and fun atmosphere. It's like a 50's diner. They have Petes coffee. Kind of strong, so order some cream. I had a nice time there.

Was really disappointed after trying this place based on the reviews. I got the chicken and waffles, which the waffles were good but the chicken was extremely over cooked. It was a dark brown and tasted burnt. My wife had the prime steak to which she asked for it medium and she definitely received a well done steak very dry and tough to chew. Prices were really high for this type of breakfast place. Will not be going back there is definitely better spots in Stockton for your money.

First time here. The food was amazing. We ordered the chicken and waffles, the waffle burger, and the banana and caramel waffle. Everything was brought to us nice and hot. The server was very attentive. The vibes at this place are very "80's diner" i loved it. The bathroom was super clean. They have great food and an awesome price. It ended up being a good thing cause we got on our phones looking for diners, and decided to try AWD what's now became our spot in Stockton. Came in for breakfast. We were happy they had outdoor seating options, they also have heaters if it's chilly. Staff and service was fast and friendly. That big mimosa was a perfect addition to my Sunday breakfast😉 Eggs were a bit overcooked/ browned than I care for, but for the most part, all was good.. Hubby said the pancakes were really good.

OMG Good!!! I don't know where to begin, so we had the Chicken & Waffle platter with a side of Biscuits & Gravy and the Volcano Omelette with a side of grits. You cannot tell me someone's Big Mama is not in their kitchen cooking. Food was delicious!!! Chicken was juicy & flavorful, The Volcano Omelette oooh full of flavor but them GRITS Hmmmm hmmmm Mmm cooked to perfection. Customer Service was excellent.

So I'm only staying in Stockton for about a week and I've already been to this place twice. Service has been fantastic, very friendly staff and the waffles are amazing. They're nice and crunchy on the outside but feel like munching on clouds on the inside. They have a great selection of diner type foods and I can see why they were nominated best in San Joaquin 2020.

Whether I dine in, door dash, or pick up myself the food has been outstanding. Service is always pleasant and prompt. The waffles are of course among the better items on the menu. Steak and egg breakfast or country fried steak are other good choices for a meat eater. Portions are enormous, country potatoes are well spiced and unique while hash browns are more for texture conscious palates. If you are a social distance observer the outdoor area has plenty of space. If I'm out on a Sunday morning looking for breakfast this is a top choice for me.

First time coming here to enjoy a last breakfast with my good friend who is moving away tomorrow :( couldnt be happier with the food!! Came here 830 and we already got our food and eating. Good simple diner food. I had the cinn roll frenchtoast with 2 eggs 2 sausage 2 bacon. They put creame cheese on the cinn roll french toast!! Hahhaa was sooo good! Server was also nice and welcoming! Feels good to support the smaller places! Hopfully your visits and food is just as good

WOW!!! My daughter and I just ate here for brunch for the first time. I had the classic chicken and waffles and she had an oreo waffle. Everything was DELICIOUS!! The Hispanic waitress was extremely pleasant and polite. Excellent food and service, can't wait to go back.

Food was pretty good, a little pricey for what I got. Fun atmosphere. Chicken and waffles were very good, but the Eggs Benedict with smoked salmon were only ok. I was really expecting them to wow me but the hollandaise sauce was just so so and kind of sank the whole dish.

There were 4 of us in our party. We sat down as soon as we arrived. Drinks were 3 hot chocolates and 1 decaf coffee. No refills on the chocolates and had to ask for a refill on the coffee while other tables, were offered. Food was average tasting but hot. 3 plates were identical, 1 pancake, country potatoes, 2 eggs, 1 sausage and 1 bacon. The last plate was an omelette with hash browns. With taxes our food averaged a little over $20 per person... Was not impressed with food or service.
