Ike's has over 50 shops country wide. They sure know what they are doing when it comes to crafting a sandwich. With so many sandwiches to choose from this is great quick lunch spot. Menu items like the Super Mario: meatballs, marinara, mozzarella, or the John Wayne: steak, dirty dressing, american cheese and the Paul Ruebens: french dressing, poppyseed coleslaw, pastrami, and swiss make it hard to decide what to eat. Grab a soda and a fun flavored bag of chips for lunch and enjoy the sucker they give you with each order for a sweet treat after.
I love how they have vegan selections. Being a vegetarian it’s not easy to find these kind of fast food places.. this is now my new spot. I just think they could fill the sandwich up a little more especially for the price.
I had the "The Ports" which is a Stockton exclusive sanwhich, I appreciate the homerown love! 👍🙌 My girlfriend had the "James and the giant peach" on gluten free bread. The gluten free bread was a but smaller. It was a little on the expensive side but after eating the sandwich I wasn't even upset about the price any more. Both sandwiches were vegan fried chicken and honestly I wouldn't of even know it wasn't chicken if nobody told me. The veggies were fresh and the sauce was delicious!!! The root beer was also really good. They're located in the mall on Pacific Ln.
I have eaten here twice. It was very good both times. I really liked the Rueben. The fries are pretty good too.
A sandwich for $10 is too much although it was not a bad sandwich. But yes the only taste dominant thing was the sauce. It's still good but price should be re-considered as this is not Bay area.
I just got my order via grub hub. The prices comparatively are not bad at all. Even at big chain sandwich shops, prices are similar. The sandwiches themselves are soooooo tasty and unique. I was skeptical about Ike's sauce so I removed it off the steak sandwich I got, and I regret it because I got it on the meatball sandwich (w/o bacon) and it was delicious! Literally this was my first experience, so if they are consistent with the taste and presentation, this will be my new favorite spot!
Ike's is top tier sandwiching. Absolutely the best sandwich chain out there, and that is an extremely bold statement to make. What's disappointing is the employees at this particular location don't care about their jobs. They don't want to talk to the customer, they don't care if the customer gets the chips and drink they paid for, they just want to screw around in the back or even right in the front. I paid for an extra drink and I still only got one, when I asked about my chips I got a blank stare. I just wanted my bbq chips and instead I was looked right through.
Make sure you change your gloves when you go out and lock the doors or do anything, don't go back and make my sandwich with the same gloves on there you were using to touch common surfaces. I won't be back even though it was delicious. Make sure your employees follow suit with food safety protocol!
