Contemporary Filipino American Art Exhibition

Located on the campus of San Joaquin Delta College, the Horton Art Gallery presents an exhibition, performance, and artist talk on Contemporary Filipino American Art.

It is a great honor to present the artists selected for the exhibition, Contemporary Filipino American Art, with a focus on Filipino culture, history, social justice, and intersectional identity themed works. Their work takes form in sculpture, painting, ceramics, furniture design, photography, printmaking, dance, and performance art.

The exhibition exemplifies how the arts are fundamental components to identity expression and present as educational motivators. While the creative process is a personal journey for artists, by presenting their work they engage the broader community to build appreciation for and deepen awareness of cultural history.

The Gallery Exhibition Reception is planned for Thursday, October 13, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM. Admission to the Gallery exhibition, reception, and events are free and open to the public.

Exhibiting Artists:

Michael Arcega, Eliza O. Barrios, Mic Diño Boekelmann, M.O.B / Mail Order Brides, Maia Cruz Palileo, Kim Requesto, Juan Santiago, Michelle Natividad Stein @michellenatividadart, Pamela Ybañez
