Dedication Ceremony for Six New Stockton Fire Engines

Join on Thursday, October 12th, as the City of Stockton and the Stockton Fire Department come together for a special ceremony. They will be dedicating six (6) brand new fire engines at the Weber Point Events Center, located at 221 N. Center St. This is a wonderful opportunity for our community and all civil service supporters to show their support and participate in this recognition and dedication event.

The ceremony will kick off at noon (12:00 p.m.), and you'll have the chance to see all the new engines up close during the event.

Every fire department needs fire apparatus that perfectly matches the existing equipment. That's why the Stockton Fire Department took special care in ordering their new engines in 2021. These top-notch engines were custom built by Pierce Manufacturing in Wisconsin, and afterwards, Golden State Fire Apparatus of Sacramento added the final finishings. It is exciting to share that they have just rolled off the assembly line and have been delivered to Stockton!

“Our firefighters work tirelessly day in and day out to protect our city,” said Mayor Kevin Lincoln. “These new engines are providing our fire department with the equipment they need to serve and protect our residents and properties for years to come.” City Manager Harry Black agreed that this is a momentous occasion to share with the entire community. “Thanks to the America Rescue Plan Act funding that Stockton received, we were able to replace several fire engines that were experiencing mechanical failures, and they have all arrived within the last few weeks. We look forward to sharing this dedication and recognition with the entire community.” - Connie Cochran, Community Relations Officer for the City of Stockton.

Great news! While parking at Weber Point Event Center is limited, there are convenient on-street parking options nearby.
