Delta College Alumni Panel: Working in the Arts - What's Next After College?

Delta College Alumni Artists will present a panel discussion on working in the arts and what they have done, or recommend, to navigate potential career fields once graduating from Delta College. Some of the panel members are also graduates of 4-year universities, including of UC Davis, Stanislaus State, and UOP. Visual arts career paths in review include exhibiting artist, community artist, art activist, arts educator, curator, art handler, gallery preparator, studio lab tech, and arts administrator, among others.

Topics also include how to develop your artist profile, resume, work statement, website and social media; networking with gallerists; marketing tactics; and pros/cons of entering fee-based art competitions.

The event is in conjunction with the Gallery's Alumni Art Exhibition, January 25 - February 15.
