Re-Righting Her Story with Deborah Crossland
Every Thursday in Feburary
Overview
Join local professor and published author, Deborah Crossland, every Thursday in February for a workshop analyzing the women of mythology. Deborah brings with her a PHD in mythological studies and published myth-based works with a contemporary feminist twist to her new class at Tuleburg Press and The Write Place.
During each 90-minute session, you will take on questions like
WHAT STORY WOULD EVE HAVE TOLD ABOUT PICKING THE APPLE?
Nearly all of our culturally defining classics have been written by men with their experiences and values at the center of every story.
WHAT WOULD HISTORY LOOK LIKE IF WOMEN WROTE THE STORIES THAT DEFINED WHAT IT MEANS TO BE HUMAN?
WHY WAS THE FATE OF CASSANDRA NOT TO BE BELIEVED?
Participants will have the opportunity to peel off the patriarchal layers behind the classics of mythology and reveal women's true tales.
