Musorgsky's Pictures at an Exhibition creates fascinating connections between sight and sound. From a ballet of chicks in their shells to the folklore character of Baba Yaga and the Great Gate of Kiev, this brilliant collection sparks the imagination. Along the way we explore together the music's structure, captivating rhythms and melodies, colorful symphonic textures, and informative tie-ins with literature, history, and mathematics. With Maestro Peter Jaffe as conductor and host, the Stockton Symphony's Steppin' Out series has provided highly educational and entertaining programs to enthusiastic young audiences for over two decades.
All Stockton Symphony Concerts are performed at Warren Atherton Auditorium at San Joaquin Delta College, 5151 Pacific Avenue, Stockton.
Beverages and tasty treats are available for purchase from the Snack Cart located directly outside the auditorium lobby. Wine and beer are available for purchase from the bar located in the lobby of the auditorium.
