Located on the campus of San Joaquin Delta College, the LH Horton Jr Gallery presents the Spring 2023 Student Art Exhibition, November 30 – December 8.
This exhibition of student artwork is from the 2023 Spring Semester annual juried show. Due to the Gallery being closed for maintenance, we rescheduled the exhibition for Fall 2023. The annual Student Art Exhibition highlights the work of students and faculty over the past academic year. An independent juror is invited by the Gallery to select the artwork for the exhibition and awards. This year’s exhibition juror was Michael Arcega, Associate Professor of Sculpture and Expanded Practice at San Francisco State University.
Six Portfolio Awards for $150 were presented to students in Studio and Media Arts including ceramics, drawing, painting, sculpture, graphic arts and photography, and sponsored by the Frank W. Clancy Memorial Fund. In addition, the Gallery Foundation also presented five $75 merit awards, and Delta College President, Dr. Lawrenson and Vice President Dr. Braden, each presented an award of their choice.
