“A Conversation on Race & Identity” at LH Horton Jr Gallery: “Unveiling the Soul”

This event has already taken place, but here is the past event information

Delta Drama and the Horton Art Gallery invite all to the live performance of “Unveiling the Soul” by actress and educator, Andonia Cakouros as part of the special events series for the exhibition, “A Conversation on Race & Identity” at LH Horton Jr Gallery.

The performance presents Cakouros’ personal and communal transformation through thelens of Agave (from Greek mythology, she is the daughter of Cadmus, the king of Thebes, Greece, and of the goddess Harmonia). The piece specifically deals with the concept of “the other,” a common theme in Greek Drama.

Unveiling the Soul invites the audience to examine the core of the human spirit when every mask is shed.

Funded by a Grant from the Stockton Arts Commission.
