Join us for a virtual opening of Women's Rights Are Human Rights.
This poster exhibition originally organized and curated by Elizabeth Resnick, design educator from MASS Art, has been reconfigured by Pacific student curators for an online experience.
The show aims to spread awareness about the violence and discrimination that women endure as a result of misogyny. Government oppression, workplace segregation, lack of access to health care and educational services are examples of gender-based discriminatory policies evident in every society, and passed off and tolerated as social norms.
This exhibition surfaces these shadowed problems through an array of graphic, funny, chilling, and witty posters made by men and women who challenge the suffocating patriarchal social standards that result in intense discrimination and acknowledge the vital role that all citizens should play in protecting and promoting human rights.
Zoom with us on Thursday, November 12th at 6:00pm.
