Pointillism is a painting technique that uses dots instead of brushstrokes to apply color. In this exercise, the kids are going to make a multicolor painting of their favorite animal using only primary-colored dots that will mix to create secondary colors. The kids will note how different color combinations and placements appear to be blended colors to their eyes when they step back from their work.
