Do you love Stockton? Do you love podcasts? Do you love podcasts about Stockton? (Are you tired of these questions?) Good, because that its exactly what we have in store for you! No, not more questions—a PODCAST about STOCKTON!
Here at Visit Stockton, we pride ourselves on showcasing everything great Stockton has to offer. With fantastic restaurants serving up delicious food, exciting sports, eclectic local businesses and retailers, a rich variety of agriculture and farms, beautiful parks and trails, and a widely diverse community of different cultures and orientations, Stockton is a booming city worthy of recognition. Its our privilege to show-off every aspect Stockton has to offer through blogs, digital marketing, social media, and of course, thrilling live community events. And we’ve added another element to our collective utility belts: a podcast!
Established in August of 2022, "This Is Stockton" features Visit Stockton CEO Wes Rhea, Visit Stockton’s Director of Marketing Amy Alpers, and Visit Stockton’s Content Manager and “pop culture enthusiast” Anthony Esteves presenting a unique look at everything going down in our beloved “Brick City.”
Wes is nothing short of a “Stockton Wiseman,” providing extensive knowledge on the city and anything occurring within its city limits, as well as San Joaquin County in general. Amy provides a viewpoint of a returning resident, having been born and raised in the city, having left for school and work, and now returning to her hometown. Plus, she’ll give updates and even hints of what’s to come in our city. Meanwhile, Anthony digs deep into all of Stockton’s history and pop culture connections—whether it’s Hollywood productions, well known athletes/artists/entertainers, or some unknown “dark and ominous” history dating back to the city’s birth, he'll cover it!
Along with our trio from the Visit Stockton crew, the show features a wide variety of Stockton guests chatting about their connections here. All guests from all walks of life are on the mic, talking about their love and support of Stockton. Our diverse lineup of guests features America's Got Talent winner Brandon Leake, Terra Coffee Roasters owner Laura Garcia, Stockton Soul's co-founder Darcy Ford-James, Rhymosaurs creator Orlando Molina AKA MC Zeps, Stockton Cargo SC women's soccer team CEO Lee Neves, Taloa's Bakery owner Mariah Taloa, StocktonCon CEO Mike Millerick, Michael's Heavenly Sweets founder Michael McDonald, and many more. No matter the background or field, "This Is Stockton" is here to shine a large light on everything our home has to offer our community.
