In the heart of Stockton, you will find Cancun Restaurant, the façade of which visually displays brightly colored handpainted traditional scenes, a restaurant established in 1976. The ambiance within the restaurant enhanced by water cascading sounds, the interior design includes high ceilings, and the friendly family reception provides the backdrop to the enjoyment of a good time along with good food and beverages. The menu includes a variety of traditional foods. Tacos, enchiladas, tamales, tostadas burritos, or quesadillas are among the lunch options. Dinner options include chile relleno, steak ranchero and other traditional combinations. Specialties are the famous fajitas and sea food dishes.

🎭When my mom & I entered had to say, " Hello anyone here ". They got my 1 enchilada mixed up in the same bag my mom said separate from the main please. Had to rip open the bag they didn't give a new bag and there was no napkins . Which is sad because it's good food but the service is bad. Last time I was here I got food poisoning from the taco salad in 2018. I mean I love the quesadilla because I can't find that style any where else so would only come back for that as a To Go. 🎭

Been eating here for 25+ years and it still tastes the same. We only make it to Stockton a couple times of year, but when we do we come here. This is the Mexican restaurant I judge all others by. We always get an order of gravy and cheese with our chips and salsa, so good. The #1 combination is my favorite. Update: This place does not disappoint. Another great meal at Cancun's.

I’ve been coming to Cancun since I was young and we recently visited and noticed that there were signs saying, under new management. We were hesitant to go in because we didn’t know how much it changed and unfortunately it changed a lot. They changed the salsa recipe and that was one of my favorite parts of Cancun and our tab was a lot more than it use to be. We probably won’t be going back and that makes me so sad 😭

I had the green enchilada and a strawberry margarita. it was delicious. They also have a large room for banquets for larger groups. They were fast serving the food and the waitress was helpful and had a great attitude. There was a posting for face masks still but once we were seated we were able to remove them.

Just left there about two hours ago! Awesome food. Big portions for the price! And the waitress was awesome! She was short with short brown hair I did not get her name! She had excellent customer service, and went above and beyond to make sure we were satisfied! Margaritas we're good so was the Chile rellenos plate and the beef burritos and tacos and enchiladas everything! We ate some there and still had plenty to take home!

Still one of favorite spots downtown. We alway order gravy & cheese in addition to the salsa they offer. I had the tamale & chicken enchilada dinner. I also, asked for sliced tomatoes. My meal was delicious. Thank you Cancun 😊

Food was great the only thing was the salsa was to hot to enjoy. They could use updates deco and subs to say they are open couldn't tell that they were open till we got to door, there's a lot of wasted space but the food tasted great

Excellent location for delicious Mexican food on a budget! Very affordable menu with the option of Chicken Nuggets and Fries for a kids entree if your child is not a huge fan of Mexican food. Caution though that the Chicken Nuggets take a while to cook! However, the rest of our meal arrived very quickly! Very friendly and courteous staff who was very attentive to us and all other guests at the restaurant. Highly recommend!

The food is good and the waitress is very polite. They just take a while before actually coming to your table. There was only two waitresses when I was there. Also it can feel a bit lonely if you go alone. They dont have music to listen to like other restaurants. Other than that though, I really like the place.

Hi, always a great place to eat. The food is plentiful and a very reasonable prices. The service is prompt and attentive to you by checking on you often. The food is flavorful without the overpowering fire that ruins so much good Mexican food and hides the real flavor of the food. You can request it that way but that is your choice. The salsa actually has a good flavor without much heat. They use Grubhub for delivery are not too crowded because of the stay-at-home business. They have been in business for years as I remember going there when I was in college. The building they are in use to be the old Chase Chevrolet dealership when it was located in downtown They have full drink service and make changes to suit customer requests. Always a most pleasant dining experience.

One of the best Restaurants in the Stockton area. The food is always good, the service is even better, servers are always polite and quick to refill your drinks no matter what you like to drink. In over 30 years I have not had a bad meal there yet.

Very nice. Different flavors for Mexican food than I'm used to. Good portions. Filling. Ordered beef enchiladas and Huevos Rancheros. Sorry forgot to take plate pictures. Drinks were awesome. Heard the tamales were not made there. So opted not to order them. Overall good choice.

It is the first place we dine-in since the Covid 19. It was very nice quiet and relaxed. We ate enjoyed and the waitress was good she made everything enjoyable. Just be as we got ready to pay and leave the waitress said that a lady at another table paid for our meal. That made it WONDERFUL. LADY IF YOU ARE OUT THERE AND READ THIS. My family and I have been going to Cancun Restaurant for over 20 years now. My mom and dad would take us out for dinner every once and a while and the service was always great everyone was welcoming with a smile on their faces. The food was always so good! Even today as my kids are growing up I can bring them here and enjoy my time with them and have a delicious dinner or lunch with them! We've never been disappointed here.

Best lunch plate! Green sauce has some, but won't hurt you. Presentation was appetizing. Lots of space for distancing and the booths are just that big. Jennifer was pleasant and attentive.

Being I'm somewhat new to Stockton, G is the tour guide and concierge of the family. She recommended Cancun and it was pretty good. A is pretty white but knows good Mexican food, and Cancun's had a great plate for a great price. Their chili Colorado/ chili verde with a taco combo plate was delicious. It is enough for two meals with rice and beans, but I ate it all so I waddled out of the restaurant. Two dinners, two beers, and tip...50.00. We will spend that for a good meal any day!
