Got that brown gravy on the enchilada and kitchen fried taco shells. What else do you need to know? That old school NorCal Mexican family restaurant vibe.
Food was bomb, good Mexican food. Service was a bit slow but there was only one lady waiting tables and Ansswering phones. But definitely worth it. She was awesome and refilled our drinks before we could even ask. We got Chilequiles and a combination plate of chile relleno with an chicken enchilada and an order of gravy.
Best tamales in the area. They put just the right amount of masa vs meat in there, along with a mouth watering gravy/sauce for them.
The food IS ok.Too pricey compared to other Mexican restaurants. I don't like that They don't offer you hot sauce on your orders to go and didn't get utensils
I went here for the first time with my girlfriend, who had been going as a kid with her family. The interior is well-worn. warm, and clean; the food was good, and the service was excellent. Our waitress refilled my drink before it was completely empty without me even needing to get her attention. I ordered a Miguel's Grande Burrito with carne asada, and served wet, which meant gravy. My girlfriend got a combo plate, and we also got guacamole, gravy/cheese dip, and complimentary chips and salsa. The burrito was huge, and delicious, and everything I ate I liked. If you're in Stockton and you like locally-owned restaurants, this one has been around for a while l, and for good reason.
