City of Stockton & Stockton Police Chaplaincy Easter Sunrise Service
Overview
We prayerfully invite our community to gather with us for a special sunrise celebration as we reflect on the biblical significance of Good Friday and rejoice in the hope and promise of Easter morning. This meaningful time of fellowship will include inspirational worship music, community prayer, and a message centered on the resurrection of Jesus Christ and the hope it brings to all people. All are welcome to attend this free community gathering.
We will begin promptly at 6:00 a.m. at the beautiful Weber Point Park Event Center, where we will open with prayer and worship through song as the sun rises over our city. We are honored to welcome Pastor Terrance L. Saffold Sr. of Greater Maranatha Church of God in Christ, who will share an uplifting and encouraging Easter message focused on faith, renewal, and the power of the resurrection.
This special one-hour service is designed to bring the community together in unity and reflection while also allowing time for attendees to participate in their own church or family Easter traditions afterward. The service will conclude promptly at 7:00 a.m.
Seating inside the venue is limited, and guests are welcome to bring folding or portable chairs for their comfort. We encourage everyone to come early, dress comfortably for the morning weather, and prepare their hearts for a time of inspiration, worship, and community connection.
Come celebrate the joy of Easter morning with us as we gather in faith, fellowship, and the shared message of hope:
He is risen!
