Located on the campus of San Joaquin Delta College, the LH Horton Jr Gallery presents the 2025 Student Art Exhibition, May 1 – 9. Join us at the Gallery in Shima 144 for the Opening Reception & Awards Ceremony on May 1st, from 5:00–7:00 p.m.
The annual Student Art Exhibition highlights the work of students and faculty over the past academic year. An independent juror is invited by the Gallery to select the artwork for the exhibition and awards. This year’s exhibition juror was Shiva Ahmadi, Art Professor at University of California, Davis. There were 212 artworks submitted by 61 students, with 56 artworks selected by the juror for the exhibition.
Six Portfolio Awards for $200 will be presented to Studio and Multimedia Arts students in ceramics, drawing, painting, sculpture, graphic arts, and photography, and are sponsored by the Frank W. Clancy Memorial Fund. In addition, the Gallery Foundation will also present six $100 merit awards. Delta College President, Dr. Lawrenson, and Vice President, Dr. Braden, will each present an award to an artwork of their choice.
