Award winning Operachi Singer Juanita Ulloa will appear in concert in Stockton, California at the Cathedral of the Annunciation at 7:00 pm on Friday, November 3rd, to present “Female Poets in Latin American Song”. The recital will include folk ballads by Violeta Parra of Chile, Alfonsina Storni from Argentina, Mexican ranchera favorites on voice and piano in Ulloa’s Operachi style and several new and award-winning originals.

She is joined by seasoned expert pianist extraordinaire, Mr. Daniel Lockert to premiere the song set “El Pensamiento Poético de la mujer Mexicana” (Thoughts by Mexican female Poets) set to music by nationalist, Maestro Antonio Gomezanda from Jalisco, Mexico.
The Concert Series is sponsored by the Cathedral of the Annunciation at 400 W. Rose Street in Stockton, California. The Series usually features classical chamber and piano music.
Concerts are usually held on Friday evenings and always by donation.
