Overview
What You Can See in the Night Sky Without a Telescope
Discover the wonders of the night sky and learn what you can observe without special equipment. This introductory astronomy presentation will explore stars, planets, constellations, and other celestial sights visible to the unaided eye.
Presenter Douglas Christensen has been interested in astronomy and space exploration since childhood, inspired by watching the Gemini and Apollo programs and viewing the night sky during camping trips in the Mojave Desert. A member of the Stockton Astronomical Society since 2004, he has served as the organization’s Public Outreach Coordinator and Vice President. Founded in 1950, the Stockton Astronomical Society is dedicated to sharing the science of astronomy with the community.
This program is included with regular museum admission.
