While Nashville is known for country music, after eating at Nash + Tender you'll think that city should be known for chicken instead. Fortunately, Stockton benefits from the import, as their southern-inspired down-home menu offers various takes on chicken that are all amazing. They also offer a handy spice guide so people know what they're getting into. There are six levels, ranging from "country" which has no spice, all the way to "Stupid Hot" which is offered in-restaurant only after the guest signs a waiver. We all have that one friend who claims they can eat anything spicy, this could be a fun way to see if they're all talk or not.

If you've never tried the wonder that is lumpia, then you need to get to Papa Urb's Grill immediately. They are the Filipino analog to Chinese egg rolls and are quite simply, amazing. Better yet is Papa Urb's take on this traditional dish. The restaurant is also loved for the pork belly sandwich and sisig fries. Enjoy a meal there and you'll be forgiven for thinking you've been magically teleported to the Philippines.
