Overview
When Guadalupe and Jesus Arroyo moved here in the early 1940s, they immediately began sharing their passion for food with friends and family by opening their first restaurant. Sixty years later, their son Mario continues the tradition and commitment to excellence at Arroyo's Cafe. Located on the water, one can enjoy fresh, homemade tortillas, enchiladas, carne asada, and other Mexican favorites. Friday and Saturday nights the restaurant hosts live Mariachi music, and the bar hosts Happy Hour.

Had great experience. Had to return my steak, cuz it was over cooked, the next steak was perfect.
I have been going to Arroyo's Cafe since the late 70's, even though the location has changed the food never has. They are now located on Quail Lake so the view is nice. Their beef, bean, meat burritos are filled with the most tender chunks of beef and covered in what has to be an Arroyo's secret sauce because no other restaurant can compare. The flour tortillas are soft and large and the refried beans are the best, not sure what is inside them but they're made from scratch. There is a wide range of items on the menu for lunch and dinners. It has always been a family restaurant with excellent large portioned meals and that hasn't changed, the service is friendly and consistent, and the pricing is so reasonable for what you get. I have lived hours away from Arroyo's, and still live quite a distance from their location in Stockton, but I make sure to get there at least 4 or 5 times a year or if someone is passing by Stockton, I make sure to place a pick up order. There aren't many restaurants that can say, "our recipes haven't changed in 45 years or our salsa is the same", this is one of the few.
Great place! Friendly service, delicious food, and a beautiful view of the water. The inside is unique, charming, and beautifully decorated. Don't let the outside fool you—it may not look like much at first, but it's definitely worth stopping in. We'll be back!
Love this place! I always get the garlic shrimp, but grilled instead of sautéed. It's so delicious! I would add more garlic myself, but its still really yummy! Plus you can look at the fake lake and feel like you are somewhere else for a little while. The salsa is spicy for us, but we still love it. Everyone is really nice also!
I’ve been going to Arroyo’s since I was a little girl with my grandma, still to this day I love eating here. The food is delicious, customer service is always amazing and welcoming. Today we went for Valentines Day and were surprised with mini cheesecakes which were absolutely mouth watering!
