Overview
Created in 2015, the Black Urban Farmers Association (BUFA) was a group of 12 an their supporters who brought their dedication and passion to positively impact change. This change was fueled by their unwavering desire to grow and make available healthy, all natural food to their community. That dream has come true with the help of their expanded Board of Directors, teaming up with different organizations, many donations, and many hands-on volunteers.
At BUFA, they choose only "efficient, high-nutrition, hearty crops that honor the heritage and legacy of African American agriculture... fruits, veggies, and roots with culinary ties to BIPOC food in America."
If you have any experience in fundraising/donor relations, legal & governance expertise, or administration experience, feel free to reach out to them via their email.
