Overview
Serving a breaded, boneless chicken breast between two buttered buns is a seemingly simple idea--but it was a novelty for its time. Truett Cathy experimented for years at the Dwarf Grill in Hapeville, GA when in 1964, he finally arrived at the perfect recipe. On that day, the Chick-fil-A® Chicken Sandwich was born. That capital A is on purpose – it means "grade A top quality". Truett's customers told him, "We like it, don't change it again." Grab a quick lunch while running through town and then get back on the freeway within minutes.

I walked in expecting a chicken sandwich. I walked out questioning reality. The employees said 'my pleasure' so many times I started wondering if I was royalty. The chicken sandwich was so good I looked under the bun for hidden enchantments. The waffle fries disappeared faster than my paycheck. The lemonade? I don't know what they put in it, but I briefly considered buying stock in lemons. My only complaint is that they're closed on Sundays. Yesterday I walked up to the door and stood there like a confused NPC for five minutes. Overall, Chick-fil-A has successfully convinced me that chicken can achieve greatness. The team members and manager were absolutely amazing. We were greeted with smiles and felt welcome from the time we entered until the time we left. They even went above and beyond to surprise me (with very short notice in cahoots with my husband while I took the kids to the bathroom) and make me feel celebrated for my 40th birthday with my family! I've been eating at Chick-fil-A for years all over the southern U.S. and CA, but this one was top notch. Another thing I enjoyed was how fresh and pipin' hot my french fries were. The dining area, bathroom, and play are were also very clean which is a little surprising considering it was during the busy lunch hour.
The food is good, not great. Just average. Place is a madhouse at the location at 2628 W.March Ln. Stockton CA. At 12:30 pm. May 22, 2026 While in the restroom I watched 4 employees (possibly cooks) use the restroom and walk out without washing their hands. Gross!
I wish they served everything even before 10:30 am. Breakfast only prior to that time frame. Not that the biscuit wasnt good. It was the versatility in option was ehat was lacking. The customer service experience was on point. I would highly suggest this particular location plenty of parking (during this visit time 8-10 am) idk about any other times if its crowded enough to have to hunt for parking.
I wanted to share that I’m a frequent customer of the Chik-fil-A in Stockton. I have purchased food there for both myself and family as well as for corporate catering orders. No matter the size of the order, it comes hot, fresh and delicious! Their customer service is always great, welcoming me and other customers into the store. The staff are friendly and helpful when I need assistance taking an order to my car. Thank you for having great food and hospitality!!! You’ve earned a lifetime customer in me.
