Enjoy some delicious Chinese food in Downtown Stockton! From Mongolian Beef to Hunan Chicken, this place has your Chinese food cravings covered. A local favorite, China village is a small mom and pop shop on Yosemite Street. Newly revitalized by the neighborhood shop owners, this Chinese restaurant feels like home. The owner will get to know your family and is focused on pleasing her guests.
Hands down the best chow mein in town. Bring your friends, order a little bit of everything and share. Service is fast and serving sizes are large. Enjoy!
Super cheap here (multiple dishes are around 9.5) and the food is ok and the service is fast! The Kung Pao chicken is a little spicy but tastes good. I can't believe $9.5 can get a big plate at the first place 😂. I won't recommend two mushrooms beef because they are covered by other vegetables and I only find a little mushrooms and beef.😅
This place is really good (I recommend the ants crawling tree). The service is always nice and they are very generous with the portions. Nothing really bad to say just that even though the service is nice, they do take a bit to get back to you but it's not a problem for me.
It's a mom and pop little place. Servings are a good size. Food is pretty good (Certainly good on a budget). Very friendly and good atmosphere. It could also use some dusting and updating.
I think this is probably the best Chinese food I've ever had. The portions are super giant. So it's well worth the money. And there is practically no waiting. If your wanting a fast bite to eat, then this is the place. I HIGHLY recommend going here. And be prepared to take some home with ya. Go try it. It's on Yosemite Dr. Across from the terra coffee shop. Another favorite place of mine. Everybody go by this cluster of business. Even a tattoo shop. Hair place and plants place.
The place is small, many people order for to go. The service is fast, taste is ok and quite cheap. The people are nice and friendly.
I like this spot! They have tasty dishes, their menu is varied, The chef in that restaurant is well trained, I like a lot tasting all their dishes. The dishes are always good, the attitude towards the visitors is agreeable. I often eat in this place and I was never unhappy. I recommend it to all my friends.
China Village is one of my favorite Chinese restaurants in the area. Everything I’ve ordered has been delicious and their quality is consistent even on their busiest days. I love that when you dine in you get a small cup of soup and I always leave with leftovers. My favorite items to order are the potstickers, War Wonton soup, Vermicelli Noodles and the Generals chicken. You can’t go wrong with this spot for take out or dine in.
They offer a fantastic variety of delicious food. I loved eating here. Staff members are always welcoming, prices are affordable and the spot is always neat.
Amazing food. Nice hole in the wall place to grab a bit to eat. Service was great also. Realize you get a lot for your money.
Great food at a great price! Excellent service, good portions! Small place, its been around for 25yrs! My new place for affordable Chinese food that fills me up! Forget Panda Express!!!
Seriously my favorite Chinese restaurant in the area! Don’t be fooled by the decor that hasn’t changed since the 1940’s, this place cooks up magic! It’s one of those rare places where you can blindly point to anything on the menu and you’ll be served a big helping of super tasty food! I personally love the wonton soup, sizzling rice soup, pork and eggplant, and snow peas with water chestnuts. One time I has a crunchy spicy beef but I have yet to figure out which one it was on the menu. Writing this review is making me hungry!
Have been going here for many years, love it. Good food good prices. Consider it a hole in the wall gem. Not a fancy atmosphere, down to earth.
I love the food. They never get my order wrong. Too many favorites dishes to list them all. Salt n pepper shrimp, house chow mein
Hidden gem. Good food, fast and friendly service. Great for the lunch specials or dinner.
"my sister lives next to here so when we visit we sometimes come here my fav is the wonton soup."
The broccoli beef was good. The broccoli was still crunchy. The chicken salad had a lot of carrots and a bit too much dressing. The sweet and sour pork, pork chow mein, and pork fried rice was okay. Nothing special. If I was in the area, I would stop and pick up something.
Super delicious Chinese food with friendly, polite service! I ordered their war wonton soup and it was really good! Sorry, no photos this time 🥡.
Everything here is good, service is quick, prices reasonable. They pack the container when you order fried rice with the lunch specials.
The China Village is my favorite Chinese restaurant!!! Authentic. This is a hole in the wall, hidden TREASURE. My Partner and I have tried everything at this point and NO EVEN ONE BAD DISH. The proteins are always fresh and tender. The Chef cooks the shrimp to perfection. Reasonable priced, good portions for sharing. A STOCKTON FIND!!!
Went here for the first time. And omg! Everything was delicious! I ordered a family dinner for 2. Included 2 types of chicken mushroom, a soup, pork, white rice and 2 prawns. I believe it was 11.90 per person but it was worth it! Everything was really good. The employees were really nice. I will definitely be coming back here again.
I was first time here and everything was delicious. Great atmosphere and friendly staff.
sometimes the best restaurants are little known secrets. this is a hole in the wall, unknown shining star. the food is generous, consistent, and authentic. dont let the facade deceive you, this is genuine hunan and szechuan cuisine.
Hidden away from any heavily transit of the main street, this wonderful restaurant offers your favorites and are friendly too! Love their chicken chowmein, nice and firm with veggies! Yummmm.
Finest spot to grab some food when in a rush. The service is prompt, prices are reasonable, excellent atmosphere. Will come back again
Super friendly neighborhood staple, nothing extraordinary - just simple, yummy, and consistent classics like Mongolian beef, kung pao, sweet and sour pork, chow mein, served with a smile 🤗
This is my Chinese food spot to go to. Best food great prices. Just love it. Nancy always greets you with a smile
Nancy and her family are awesome. Always greet you with a smile. The food is delicious.
A hidden gem. Cheap, delicious, good portions. House rice is an especially great, and tasty, value.
My quest began when I got mad at the inconsistency of China Village General Tso's chicken, after several orders in a row were just fried breading with no chicken inside. I have now eaten practically every version of general tso/house chicken in Stockton and can verify that, even at it's worst, China Village is the BEST General Tso's chicken dish in town. The sauce is more than sweet and it's more than tangy, it's savory and rich. The breading is light and crispy and the 3 pieces of broccoli are just the slightest teeny bit still crunchy. I would put China Village General Tso's chicken up against any in America. Repeat all of the above for the wonton soup. Don't waste your time with the wor wonton soup because the star of the show is the broth, which you get less of with all the extra stuff in there.
Went for lunch, had the wor won ton soup, egg rolls and fried won ton skins. Food was delicious, just the right amount of soy in it, plenty of won tons and veggies in the soup. The egg rolls were soo good, nicely fried, piping hot and even better with sweet n sour sauce . The fried won tons were crispy and hot and made a nice addition to our meal. The price was just right, a little over 20$ for 2 ppl and we even had leftover soup to take home as well. Will definitely be going back for more delicious meals.
