Talk about a variety of beautifully plated perfectly made food. Asparagus wrapped beef simple and delicious. We kept the menu through out ordering as we went along. Our server was pleasant and helpful. A must try in Stockton. 8/7/23 I’ve been back more than a handful of times over the years. Order something new, Always pleasantly pleased.

Visited Cocoro Bistro tonight while on a work trip to Stockton. We arrived at 6:15 and our party of 3 was sat right away, no need for a reservation. Very nice! We did however have to wait until 6:55 to place our orders and this was after having to flag down our waitress. She admitted that she forgot. I was only concerned about ordering because they close down at 8! Accidents happen, I understand. The food totally made up for any shortcomings in service though. The Agadashi Tofu is a must try! The rainbow roll is one of the best I’ve ever had and the sushi chefs slice the pieces thin so they are perfectly bite sized. The soft shell crab tempura was good if you like soft shell crab. I find it’s not for me but I can see how others would like it. The 3 Ways roll pretty good and the grilled edamame is perfect for a spice lover! The prices were on point as well. For the soft shell crab tempura, rainbow roll, tofu agadashi, and a to go Dill Salmon roll the bill came out to $51. Not bad. I’ve paid more for much lower quality sushi at other restaurants. I would visit this establishment again and I recommend them to others!

Short wait for dinner, hostess is actively seating customers and taking calls. Atmosphere is calm & music isn't too loud. FOOD is a must try, exceeded all our expectations! Asa our server/waiter is good at what he does! A great local spot, left a lasting impression for us outa-towners...we'll be back Johnnie 👏

Our server was very attentive and knowledgeable of the menu. Jonathon gave us some great menu details and recommendations upon request and gave us a taste of a secret menu item as a fun bonus! Each cocktail was unique and full of flavour. We especially enjoyed the spicy tuna roll. I came here with my uncle who is a local and has been here multiple times, I see why he brings visiting friends and relatives! It is a great spot.

Pretty darn amazing! Chicken Catsu was the best ever..HUGE amount for one order, and at lunch! The roll I got was great...a little disappointed with the amount of soy sauce they give and it is all in paks. Our server was very nice and helpful. Parking is a little crammed and I am not too sure about seeing any handicapped parking. It's a nice place to just chill outside and watch the traffic and people and enjoy the scenery and fresh air.

Went on a weekend around 6pm and the place has a good crowd already. We had the oysters (delish), spicy ramen (that broth) fresh sushi platter, a roll and a whiskey sour with egg white. I love the selection on the sushi platter and the freshness of the fish. The waiter was attentive enough, we were given two orders of oyster, didnt mind that at all and just told them to add the extra oyster order that we didnt ask for to the bill. Overall a pleasant dining experience in Stockton. We felt safe and location is convemient enough. More parking in the back.

It was this past Valentine's Day so the wait was kinda long but not as long as they said it would be. The sushi was fresh and the portions were adequate. I recommend it to all seafood and sushi lovers.

This place exceeded my expectations. The menu is very extensive and the quality and freshness of the food is incomparable to anything else I have tried in Stockton at least. The staff was very friendly and the prices were reasonable based on quality, portion, and taste. I will come back for sure.

I had the Trio a rice bowl. The dish was very tasty and abundant. The dish was worth the cost. The room was a tad bit loud. They brought food to the table one person soup and main dish at same time. This meant the main dish though good was cold.

Have to be honest I had eaten here in the past and it was okay. Had some friends meet me and my wife there for dinner recently and I was a bit hesitant. Well it was great! It's under new ownership, and the owner was our server! He and his wife were so much fun and the sushi was excellent!

What I like about Stockton is the many, many options of food! Thankfully the husband and I love sushi. We're always up for dining at newer places. Before Cocoro we only ever knew Misaki downtown and the Sushi buffet on Hammer Lane. Dining here is completely worth the wait on busy weekends especially if you're out on the patio. You get to listen to the guy with the guitar (if he's there) and enjoy the busy Miracle Mile scenery. The sushi was amazing! I was not disappointed at all. I recommend starting out with the Agedashi Tofu appetizer; simple, tasteful, and light! In the picture we have the California Deluxe sushi roll (front) and the Red Dragon sushi roll (back)- both very satisfying choices. The service was great considering how busy it got after 7PM. We're coming back for sure. *I definitely ordered another Red Dragon roll to-go lol*

I adore this spot! They give splendid meals, their menu is varied, The chef in that spot is a real authority in the kitchen, I love very much trying all their food. The food is always good, the attitude towards the clients is friendly. I frequently visit this restaurant and I not even once was unhappy. I recommend it with no hesitation.

For me sushi is usually a treat and I love being able to go to a spot that I know is serving up great quality and great flavors. I knew this was a great spot when I went in for a lunch and asked for the chef to make their choice for me and I received a wonderful combination of fresh fish. I've been back a few times since and ordered straight off the menu and have enjoyed everything. I don't have a favorite yet, but some of their specials are very tempting and you should definitely check out what they're offering before ordering off the regular menu. The restaurant is definitely cozy and has some great spots that offer great lighting during the day. Sushi is always great for photographs, but even better with natural lighting.

Sushi rolls were great. Waiter was very distracted, never came back to take our order, asked if we wanted forks but never brought them, never refilled our drinks, and several other small things. So many other great sushi options in town. Not sure if I'll ever try it again.

They have many different rolls to choose from! Last night I had the CoCoRoll which has cooked shrimp, avocado, rice, chopped walnuts, and other tasty ingredients. It comes on a huge plate with enough to share (if you want to!) Wash it down with a Sapporo ON DRAFT, and you'll be happier than an octopus with eight ice cream cones!!! They serve chicken and beef dishes as well, if you're not feeling that adventurous. You can also sit at the sushi bar and watch the nimble fingers of the chefs create their many delicacies.

When I lived in Stockton (now I just work in Stockton) I used to eat sushi rolls here a lot and really enjoyed them. The atmosphere and service is just as great as it's ever been. Looks like, from the reviews, that they have new owners. That might explain the change. I ate here with a friend and we both left feeling that our Sushi rolls were bland and just boring to eat. It's a real bummer because the presentation of them on the plate is fantastic. They just had no flavor worth mentioning. No mater the Sushi restaurant, one of my rolls is always rainbow roll. I enjoy that roll and it gives me a consistent dish on which to mentally grade the restaurant. It wasn't good news. Unfortunately we will not be returning as Stockton has some great Sushi restaurants out there. I'd prefer a hole in the wall with great sushi over this great atmosphere and presentation that falls way short on flavor. I gave them 3 stars because I feel it's still a place worth checking out. If you are a frequent Sushi roll eater I'm guessing you will choose to dine somewhere else.

Unfortunately, the new Cocoro stopped making their teriyaki dishes with mushrooms & onions. It was what set them apart from other Japanese restaurants serving teriyaki. Now indistinguishable. Also ordered the katsudon. Pork was very tough and chewy. Flavor not as good as before. ALSO, prices for teriyaki have gone up close to 40%! Service was excellent. Maybe there will be improvement after their trial run. We will see. Making me think twice about this place.

This is a perfect place to go on a first date. The was great food and not too expensive we like spicy food so we got some of that. The spice was not overwhelming for the food it was just the right amount of bland where you could taste the spice but still enjoy your food. She really liked the option of getting a ford because she didn't know how to use chopsticks and her first time eating sushi she said "it's actually good" I prefer using chopsticks. It was just nice and our waitress was pretty funny.

Great social personality on Instagram, comforting customer service, great chefs and amazing dishes. I've tried my hardest to find Toro (fatty salmon) in the central valley for so long and cocoros finally delivered (not literally) but some of the most exotic and flavorful rolls I've tried. Highly recommend for a great dish for a good price in an unexpected area. Keep up the work chefs!

I liked my appetizers more then the entrée I had sushi but the rolls was pretty small and needed more flavor. The outside seating area is nice and classy but It needs to be more spacious. The owner was very friendly and so was the severs. I will be back to try their oysters I hope it is good.

My husband and I love Coco Ro. It’s Upscale yet relaxing! The owners are totally on site. They are very involved with the staff and customers. Everyone is hard at work making sure all needs are met. You can see the love that goes into this spot! Since the new ownership as well as remodel took place we frequent here once a week if not every other week. Seating: You have indoor and outdoor seating options. Great little waiting area. Outdoor seating is just as great as inside minus the TVs and A.C. The restroom (Ladies) is always clean and functioning and well stocked. Restaurant itself: clean, cool, hip and casual but upscale vibe! The Food is outstanding. Service is undeniable and again, JUST ALL AROUND GOOD SPOT. Be sure to try it. It’s my opinion you won’t regret it!

Try the Beef Cilantro Roll! It's delicious and filling! Edit: Hit & miss on service. We switched to ordering online but even the time frame they give you is inconsistent. Generally 1 hr from the time you order it's ready for pickup, but be ready to stand another hour when you show up.
