There's a goal I have in mind, visit all of the wineries in Lodi and surrounding areas. Fields Family Wines came up next on the list tackle this goal. The service here was beyond! From trying their various varietals to learning more about the wine, it's production, the clarity. Troy served our tasting while we were there and trust me when I say you'll never find another person like Troy in any other winery. Along with teaching us about the wines and varietals, he was making us laugh the entire visit! Fields Family Wines is boutique. They do everything in house and by hand. This is definitely a place you're going to want to add on your visit list.
These guys are making some great wine! Friendly staff and they don't take themselves too seriously, really good people. Fantastic Pinot Noir, Syrah, and Tempranillo/Syrah blends. All the wines we were tasting were very good.
Recommended by a friend, this is a fantastic place to expand your knowledge of the Lodi wine country. Troy offers an entertaining tasting experience while teaching you everything you need to know about the area, the barrels, their testing methods, and of course the wines - so interesting to learn why certain recent vintages make so many differences in the bottle.
Fields family is some of the best wine we have tasted while in Lodi. The grapes are true to how they are grown, which creates a uniqueness that is rare in the wine community. Highly recommend stopping by and “Troy with a Y” will give you the best experience!!
