Fields Family Wines is a small winery even by boutique winery standards, more of a ‘micro-winery’ that offers a very casual atmosphere and laid back approach to wine and all of the fun things that go along with it.
Their winery tasting room sits on Woodbridge Road just west of Hwy 99 on your way into the town of Woodbridge.
Call for a private tasting, tour of the barrel room or meet the winemaker.
Family & friends are what matter most – gather them up and open a bottle.
Tasting Fee: $5.00, refunded with purchase
First and foremost, Troy and Keely are amazing! Second of all the wine is top tier. We love Fields wine so much that we became members. We look for any excuse to pop open a bottle. Everyone we’ve shared Fields wine with instantly becomes a fan!
Troy was awesome! Very informative, too. We enjoyed our tastings and banter w Troy. Wine were great too!
Hats off to Troy and Keely for the most fun wine tasting ever!!! This place is legit, and they make wines the good ol' fashioned way. Really a gem.
So we stopped in to Fields several years ago and had a good experience but hadn't been back. Fields came highly recommended by a few other tasting rooms this year and we decided to give it another shot. We parked out front and were soon greeted by Troy and Keely, two of the most delightful, most educational, most hilarious wine adventure guides a couple could ask for. After sampling this year's syrah and Lambrusco grapes straight from the vine, we went on a wine epic through whites and reds and NC-17 unique blends with laughs abound. 100% will visit again.
What an awesome experience. On a recent tour of Lodi vineyards, this place came up in every conversation with locals, wine industry folks, and friends. It did NOT disappoint. Do not judge a book by its cover, as their tasting room is not fancy. This is a bonus for me. I don't come wine tasting for fancy granite bar tops, I come for the wine. And the wine was stellar. I really liked that ability to choose my own 6 wines from their list, I feel like that added to the experience. There's a lot of good wine in this world. There's even less great wine. A few varietals here might even cross over to absolutely exceptional. Vicious Delicious, Tempranillo, and the Sangiovese were stand outs. Fred and Michael hosted us in a no-frills tasting experience that showcased the wine. I would 100% recommend this place to anyone looking to taste wine in the Lodi region, and I'd definitely come back. Thanks!
Troy and Michael are a cut above! We appreciate the time and the care they gave to help us better understand their wines. And we appreciate the quality as well as the native fermentation which is the natural process.
A very friendly family operated winery with very good wines. Strongly recommended. Much more fun than the more Disney like Napa 😀
Top 5 winery in the Lodi area! Staff is extremely knowledgeable and friendly. If you haven't visited Fields Family you are missing out.
Omg, you have to check out this place. The wines are AMAZING and Troy was super funny and took great care of us on a girls trip. We also got a tour of the facility and learned a bunch too! Put it on your list and you won’t be disappointed.
Troy was an awesome person to lead us thru a wine tasting. Fun, entertaining, delicious. No crowd. Go here.
Great wines from a small winery. A definite diamond off the beaten trail. Troy and Michael were the best hosts. We brought lunch and ate in their courtyard. A treat for anyone looking for a treat instead of the industrial wineries.
Love their wine!!! Don’t let the industrial feel of the tasting room mislead you, the wine is a definite contender for best in the area. Go see Cynthia, very knowledgeable and friendly.
The wines at Fields Family are nuanced and elegant. Not only that but the prices for these wines are very affordable for their quality. The tasting room server was a veteran of the industry and a fount of California wine knowledge. If you want to taste fine wine in Lodi this is your place.
Amazing place & people! I learned so much about wine & wine tasting! Such a great worthwhile experience & phenomenal wine. Thank you for your Amazing hospitality!
My Wife, Daughter and Granddaughter stopped in for some wine tasting in October. We called ahead, spoke with Troy Testo, he told us to come on out. We were the only group there as it was nearly closing time. Troy took his time sharing and explaining each wine we tasted and also some background on these wines as well. We truly enjoyed Troys humor and knowledge as well. We will be back and will be requesting Troy to not only keep us entertained but also as shares the stories to keep our wine tasting interesting.. Thanks again Troy..
First of all Troy was amazing, made our wine tasting experience fun and enjoyable. Wines are amazing ,we had to take a bottle home with us! and we will definitely be returning ☺.
Great experience and very knowledgeable. We were served by the wine maker himself and he explained the process of how their wines are made and what makes them unique. Very unique and very friendly winery, would recommend anyone to go!
If you happen to have Troy as your tasting guide, consider yourself lucky. Not that the others are bad, just that Troy led us on an epic educational wine tasting experience. What we will remember is that natural winemaking works... and the proof is what we were "pudding" in our mouths. 😆 Seriously, the wine is noteworthy. Troy made our experience fantastic, and we will certainly be returning as members.
