Amenities
- Family Friendly
We only had a 1 night stay at Flag City RV. I had reserved online and a few hours before arriving and they were totally ready for me. Think his name was Michael at the front desk. He was very friendly and helpful. They had a nice pool at the front with lots of people swimming since it was a hot day with temps over 100. We had a 50 Amp pull thru large concrete pad that fit our 40 ft trailer and tow vehicle. There is plenty of space for large vehicles to maneuver, it has nice shade and the shower facilities were very clean. There are quite a few gas stations and fast food restaurants within walking distance. The regular WiFi did not work so well and for some reason our hotspots was very slow which is unusual for Verizon. They do have paid service option for fast WiFi for video streaming. Overall, I would recommend staying there and would stay there again next time we do our PNW Trek.
Flag City is top notch - concrete pads, excellent restrooms with showers, friendly office folks, pool, laundry, etc. It is also the only option for staying near Lodi. But you pay for it at $85 a night. Negatives are traffic noise from nearby I5 is 24/7 and poor wifi unless you pay a daily fee of $2.99. This airline approach to pricing is disturbing and, I hope, not a trend.
Pros: Good location off of I5 in CA Nice cement spots PA rates Cons: Fee Wifi runs at 120 kbps, advertised as 500. Laundry room requires a card that requires a $10 deposit.
We stayed here for a week and a half in September of 2023. The Good: The park is in a fairly good location along I-5. It is well kept, has a nice pool and hot tub, and a HUGE enclosed dog run. They accept packages, have fair prices for laundry, and while there are some sketchy areas not too far from the park, the park has security and the employees are friendly and seem to keep a close enough eye to keep out any issues. The sites are decent sized, but we did have to park our truck sideways to fit, even in the largest sites. The bad: there are a crazy number of feral cats running around everywhere (and smells like tom cat in some areas), and they appear to be fed by the staff who leave cat food in and around the pool area, and near the dog park, which our dogs inadvertently ate and had digestive issues from. The drain in the dog park has bars which are wide enough that some smaller dogs may be able to go through which could be dangerous for some. While it may not be practical for irrigation, it would be nice if there was a small lawn area next to each site rather than just rocks. The pool, while nice, is very cold, even when it's 100 degrees outside. They have a gigantic solar array for power generation, but apparently forgot to install a solar water heating system to keep the pool warmer. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would stay here again but there is some room for improvement. Oh and we HIGHLY recommend the nearby La Dona Mexican Food Truck that was across from the Sinclair gas station when we were there. Excellent Mexican food.
