Nice selection, prices appear to be slightly cheaper than at the San Francisco store. The ice cream is just as good. Access to and from the freeway is easy with plenty of parking which can easily accommodate RVs.

This place is a chocoholic's dream come true, with the unmistakable aroma of chocolate wafting through the air. Sure, the shop may be on the smaller side, but what it lacks in size it makes up for in chocolatey goodness. The staff are as sweet as the treats they serve, always willing to accommodate your every chocolate desire. If you're driving down I-5 and happen to pass by this landmark, do yourself a favor and stop in for a sundae. It's the perfect way to break up any long car ride and indulge in some serious chocolate overload. I went with the 72% Dark chocolate sundae shake, and let me tell you, it did not disappoint. But if you're expecting something on par with Disney World's sugary delights, you may be in for a bit of a letdown. This is a chocolate shop after all, not an amusement park. Ghirardelli's Chocolate Outlet and Ice Cream Shop is a must-visit for any chocolate lover. Just don't blame me if you leave with a serious sugar high and a newfound addiction to all things chocolate!

I love this place! Any chocolate lover would have a great time! It is a very small shop, if your expecting something disney world would make you'll be very disappointed. It's just a small corner shop, but it's slap full of chocolate! There's tons of the chocolate square assortments to buy, as well as baking mixes, baking chocolate bars, chocolate powder, hot coco, chocolate syrup and more! You can even get ice cream and brownies here. It's a challenge to not go here on a daily basis

Upon entering, I was warmly greeted by the friendly staff, who were attentive and helpful throughout my visit. U usually stop here whenever I'm visiting my family in Manteca. I get some chocolate and a gold rush. The day we went this time, their system was down, so they only took cash. But they didn't have a sign posted, so I asked why was it so empty today, and the lady told me their system was down. My cousin and I told her they needed to post a sign on the door so that people would know in advance. By the time we received our order, someone had posted a sign on the door. Not everyone carries much cash anymore, but I do whenever I travel out of town, so I was able to purchase what I wanted.

The service here was wonderful, and I love that they now have a dairy-free sundae option! There were bins of the chocolate squares to make custom assortment, but only about 4 of them were milk chocolate. I love dark chocolate, but some of my family doesn't, so it left me fewer options for them. It was fun to stop here on the way home.

Nice spot to stop into. It’s just a showroom of their chocolates, icream booth and Peet’s coffee. Share the icream as it’s a pricey, $14 avg. Chocolate bags and bars are a good deal, buy bunch.

We had some fake butter pecan ice-cream in Sacramento and on our way back to the Bay Area we wanted to reset our pallette. The stop at Ghirardelli outlet was imperative. Our first time at this location and like any other they didn't disappoint. Along with the eat-in ice-cream we ended up buying $100 worth of chocolate - so you have been warned. Enter at your own risk - that said, I have no regrets. I'll do it again!

Absolutely love this place! Delicious ice cream desserts and shakes for a price that won't break the bank! A great selection of discount chocolates available as well. Friendly customer service and plenty of outdoor and indoor seating to enjoy. This particular day was not busy so the visit was very enjoyable. Little ones loved seeing the big trucks drive by and getting them to honk their horns. An outstanding place to take the family out for a delicious, sweet, tasty treat!

This was a most blissful experience with Chocolate and Ice-cream!! The Ice cream I had was the famous chocolate fudge, honestly I have no words to describe! Ice cream - 5* rating of its taste and everything from its texture to Color ! It’s was a blissful experience! The Chocolate I pick was the 72% Dark : I love the balance in the 72% is just the perfect blend in my opinion and it’s delicious, I can’t rate a chocolate. But it’s become my favourite now!!

Plenty of parking. Don't let the outside fool you. It's not as big in the inside. It's a cute ice cream shop with delicious menu choices. They do have their famous chocolate items for sale and great gift ideas for every season. Free sample of your choice. Just ask. There's always a good sale. They offer military discount.

We ordered the Banana Split and the Hot Fudge Sundae, respectively. I had Rocky Road ice cream, in lieu (supply chain being what it is in COVID times) of chocolate -- an excellent suggestion from Allianna. The Rocky Road, Strawberry, and Vanilla ice creams in my Banana Split were rich and flavorful. The luxurious hot fudge, thick whipped cream, and firm bananas balanced out the sweet pineapple and sweet and tangy strawberry toppings very well. That being said, even a simple bowl of those sweet and tangy strawberries in cream would have been delightful. My nephew enjoyed his Hot Fudge Sundae, too. Although he is not as big a fan of thick whipped cream, as I am. But he agrees that the hot fudge was very good. The shop was clean and the staff were pleasant. I called back after I got home because I thought I had left my credit card holder on the bar. The young lady who answered the phone actually took the time to walk over and look to see if I'd left my card holder in the area I'd previously occupied. Very good customer care. 👍 NOTE: If the desserts and chocolates Ghirardelli sells in their confectionary were not sweet, then they'd be doing something wrong.

This place has great icecream and a good variety of chocolate. The menu is the same as the Ghiradelli in Disneyland. There are lots of cute souvenirs to bring back with you if you are visiting.

Omg, this place is the best you can get all sorts of chocolate of course but you could also go to their dessert area and order all kinds of desserts like I did oh my gosh you will just love it. I come here whenever I pass through and sometimes I have to drive 100 mph (not really) to make it before it closes. You will understand why

Finally stopped to have dessert on our way back to Sacramento from Livermore. Small store but has the best ice cream ever! Best part is you don’t have to wait in those long lines like you do in San Fran. Bonus, you can even find a seat! You don’t have to go outside or eat standing up. Will be back soon!

For me, the whip cream on the drink you're seeing below/above tasted off. My cousin had ordered the same thing as me and said that they put salt in hers, to "even the sweetness". It was definitely not a good mix, and while other orders might taste better than the rest, it was okay for me.

Nice place to stop by. Tasty decadent Cocoa. They used to have lot of good deals on chocolates before covid. We always stopped by to get chocolate when in the area. Now half of the place is empty and choice is very limited. The deals of by 3 get 2 free are gone. When visited in July of 2020 they had no chocolate bags at all.

I got 75% off on a special they ran... go see for yourself. Samples as well. Try not to go...I dare you. Bet you can't. I double dog dare you. Enjoy the next best thing to Willy's place...(keep in mind, that place was make believe)... you gotta watch that movie with a kid... watch both versions but think of the old one.

Face mask is required. 6 ft. distance, etc. The store/ice cream parlor was very clean and organized. The employee greeted us and made herself available but wasn't pushy at all. I appreciate that. The menu offered a large selection of sundaes and ice cream treats. I had a large cookies and cream shake. It was pricy at $7.95 but wow was it awesome and rather large indeed. I had a hard time finishing it. For an occasional treat it was perfect and so creamy and yummy. The gift shop was fun with lots of wonderful gift ideas. Highly recommend you check it out.

On our way home from the Livermore Outlets, we decided to come by and stop for a treat. And, as usual, we were not disappointed. All 3 of us had the hot fudge sundaes. I had mine with the strawberry ice cream, the fudge, and the whipped cream. The topping was over the top...next time I'll leave it off. But my wife seemed to enjoy hers the way it came. My sister had the caramel sundae, and she enjoyed hers as well. I think this will be a standard stop each time we're in this area. Great place to visit, shop, and enjoy a treat.

Really popular place, do to covid-19 you do have to stand and wait in line to get in. They have the most delicious candies and ice cream for a Chocolate Outlet in our area. Their customer service is excellent! Hostesses are well-informed on many other products in the store. Come try it you'll like it and will be back:)

Great tasting treats and a clean store! I had the Nob Hill Chill, which was like a rich chocolate milkshake with mini chocolate chips on top. The kids had a classic hot fudge sundae and the Treasure Island sundae. They demolished the ice cream quickly. Bring some cash because it is as expensive as their chocolate is rich lol.

Be ready to spend $10 on a Sunday. They are very good, come with a chocolate, and the staff are so nice. There's a cute gift shop, too, but no bathroom access during covid-19. They are very careful about cleanliness. Drive north along the access road to the gas station for nice clean bathrooms.

An enjoyable day with the birthday girl who turned 8. This was our first time visiting Ghirardelli and it was our first stop of the day. The birthday girl had Cookies & Cream with sprinkles and, she said it was, "good!" Her grandmother and I loved our selections as well. Although businesses are opening up, we were a little sad to find out the tours will no longer take place. Happy that the business is in our backyard.👍👏🌺💞

You can't ever go wrong with Ghirardelli chocolate. However, I went out for an ice cream yesterday & was disappointed that they did not have the flavor I was craving. I recently went to dinner at a restaurant and they served Ghirardelli chocolate chocolate chip ice cream on their dessert menu. It was amazing! I went to Ghirardelli on a mission, but not only found out that they did not have it, but I was told they never carry it. Chocolate lovers like me see Ghirardelli as a "Chocolate" company. So having multiple chocolate ice cream choices is not an unreasonable request. Secondly, I would have given five stars, but the prices were also sky high! Though I do not mind indulging periodically, a family with children can quickly be $50-$60 in the hole just for ice cream. That would pay for many, many gallons of ice cream at the store. Again Ghirardelli, step up your game.

Good selection of chocolates and ice cream dishes. They also have a lactose-free option and that really made me happy. Comfortable temperature inside, clean bathroom, and polite staff. This is faster and cheaper than going to SF for our chocolate supply, though maybe not as fun.

We went there for an ice cream in the evening. Our order was delivered in time and was good on taste. However many things that we chose from the menu were not available, like waffle cones, certain ice cream combinations. One would expect an outlet connected to the main factory to be better equipped. Not sure if that is an impact of low customer turnout during corona times. There was decent sized crowd, but no wait time. Compared to the San Francisco Ghirardelli outlet, getting an ice cream here is much smoother and faster.

Tucked away near Stockton we accidentally ran Into the chocolate outlet. It’s a cute little store that sells all the Ghirardelli chocolates and gift boxes. In the middle of the store they have a coffee and ice cream bar where you can order espresso drinks, hot chocolates and shakes and also different ice creams. Staff is very friendly. We ordered their salted caramel ice cream cup. It was overly sweet and we couldn’t even finish half of it.

Visited and of course bought a hand-selected bag of chocolates! Been a slow recovery for many businesses as well as the Ghirardelli Factory Outlet. Saying it because of the wide selections of flavors and types are no longer available. One of my favorite is mocha...and for a special event I also looked forward to the mini-chocolates. The minis were limited to a few flavors and types... I suspect adults prefer them more than children. Disappointed in that area too. Lastly, their chocolates ae sold in various stores, which a daughter bought a day a go and prices were lower than the factory outlet. Primary reason for shopping here at he oulet is for a wider selection. Hope they improve this, otherwise it will be a longer period before stopping by on my way home from Southern California.

The chocolate prices are only slightly discounted. Not as low as I would expect from what purports to be a factory outlet. On the other hand, the gift shop fountain drinks of coffee and chocolate are at stadium prices, but are delicious. This is a great place for a break/stop when travelling up and down California on Interstate-5.

Don’t forget they have Pete’s coffee also at this location. Most people think it’s the factory although it’s just a small company retail store and the rest of the building is the kiwi co warehouse. Try the salted Carmel banana shake! Amazing !!

Great stop on the way home to So Cal. to cure a dessert craving. We had the banana split with was yummy and you are able to change the ice cream flavors to your choice. Prices for candy are about 20% under retail. Cashier are friendly and it wasn't too crowded.
