After getting my son's hair cut, we ate very well right here I promise it's a diamond in the rough.
Amazing environment and clean! Food looks and tastes amazing!! 10/10 would reccomend
Great service really sweet people I felt so comfortable amazing food☺️💓💓
A legendary landmark for great Mexican cuisine. Was fortunate enough to grow from a toddler experiencing what good and flavorful food taste like with my Grandmother.💯✔
I get along good with Irma unlike some people that have made some bad reviews I like her don't judge her by her looks she's really a nice kind-hearted person you tried doing that kind of job for 30 years and see if you can smile everyday and everyone
The food was simple, but good. I had a chicken burrito and a beef burrito, and the fresh taste of both of those meats were both clearly evident. In many Mexican restaurants, the flavor of the meat is completely masked or covered up by the sauces or spices added to the burrito, but not so here. This tasted much more like homemade instead of a place that is trying to hide their substandard, core ingredients behind a saucey wall. This is something that felt like a mom made for her adult kids who popped in for a visit at lunchtime.
Good food.new owners I think because Irma hasn't been there for awhile and new menu items
Full disclosure, it could be I'm burnt out on Mexican food, but I found my meal here to be average. The staff, and service are spot on. I just can't really say that anything really stood out, or was notable.
If you love home cooked Mexican food, you'll love this little place. Irma herself will seat you, take your order and serve you. She is so sweet. Came in for lunch on a Friday and had the one enchilada and one taco (comes with rice and beans) lunch special for a little over $10 and it was delicious and definitely filling! Also, there is something about the coffee there that is just 😍 Make sure to get there early enough as they close at 2pm!
Best Mexican food in Stockton. Try Irma's chili verde; or her breakfast burritos; or her tacos de carne asada. It's all good at Irmas Place!
Clean and friendly, I met Irma she is so sweet, had pancakes and two eggs :) it's home cooking ..yum
Customer service was awesome. Very inviting vibe. The food was not as spicy as I liked I got (the camaromes a la diabla) but still was good.
This is a wonderful, family oriented diner, with hands down the best tortillas I've ever tasted.
I really liked their dishes. I always get fantastic customer service there. The place is clean and the staff members are always very friendly. Would recommend to others.
Great place. Service and food is always excellent everytime I come with my family.
Best place for mexican food. Food and tortillas are homemade. Decent prices and very tasty good flavor. Generous portions. Breakfast, lunch. Dinner...all yummy. American food also served.
Stopped by here a couple weekend ago, and I have to say that was a pretty good breakfast burrito. It was so yummy, and tasted fresh! I drove from out North to downtown just for this burrito. I honestly liked it better than Adalberto's.
Fast, good food, great service, with outdoor seating now. Has been there a long time. If I understood correctly, the hostess has been there 46 years. I guess I should say historic, too.
We love Irma's! So glad she is still hanging on during the pandemic; it has been very hard on her and her business. Please go support her too! She has partitions between the booths, and is ready for her customers to come back. We love everything there, from her perfect homemade tortillas (my friend said they are like eating a cloud), to the delicious chile verde, all the way to her burgers! After 10 years of going there for mexican food, I finally ventured off and tried a burger. So good! She does posole and menudo on the weekends.
Wow... great cooking great stop for breakfast 😋 I ordered the chile verde and chilaquiles plate all with a diet coke my co-worker ordered the breakfast burrito 🌯 was just like home cooked meal just like my aunt made. 😋 👌 if ever in Stockton stop by and say hi to Irma.
The food is amazing! Customer service made me feel so welcomed. Definitely found my go to spot!
I loved the food, reminded me of my grandmas before she passed! Loved the chilaquiles, good customer service , will definitely be going back!!
This place is really amazing the food is SOOO good I definitely recommend it!.. I give it 11/10 this place is amazing
You simply can not beat the Machaca from Doña Irma - distinctly the best in Stockton. The beef is super tender, with just the right portion of egg. The sanson and sofrito of the onions, bell pepper, and jalapeño chile picoso would be welcomed and fussed-over in my Grandma's kitchen. For the Machaca and Huevos Rancheros, neither Don Luis or either of the two Nena's are anywhere near. The two available salsas, served on the side for the tostaditas or as a condiment to the entré - sorry - is just not for Gringos. Afterall, this is a Mexicano restaurant, not an Olive Garden...
Homemade tortillas, everything is always nice and hot when served. It you want authentic “feeling at home” food this is it. :)
best food i’ve ever had, staff is so kind and welcoming, wish i lived in the same city so i could go there more often!
