Janet Leigh Theatre @ University of the Pacific
Overview
Named after University of the Pacifuc aluma, Janet Leigh, the Janet Leigh Theatre is an on-campus movie theatre featuring weekly films during the school year as well as special talks and screenings. In the spring, Pacific film students get the chance to see their work on the "big screen" here. It is the only movie theater in San Joaquin County that shows independent films. Pacific students receive free admission to films, while faculty and staff get a discount. The theatre is open to the public.
Caught a show at Janet Leigh Theatre recently and had a really nice evening. The place has a cozy feel to it, not too huge, so every seat seems pretty decent. Sound quality was clear and the lighting added a lot to the performance. Staff at the entrance were polite and got people in pretty quick. I also liked that the lobby was clean and easy to move around during intermission. Seats were a little snug, but nothing that ruined the night. Overall it felt welcoming and well run, and I’d gladly come back for another performance.
Went for the "Million Miles Away" screening with Jose Hernandez present. Great movie and great lecture at a great venue! Loved it.
I went to watch a 🎥 movie there. It was nice however the seating is not designed for full figure people. And because of it I was not comfortable watching the movie.
Beautiful everything the popcorn was 1$ and the drinks were 1$ the movies had me crying like a baby
