Nestled in the scenic beauty of the California Delta, a whole world of recreational opportunities awaits you at King Island Resort. King Island Resort is a family-oriented facility that's equally favored by water-skiers and fishing enthusiasts alike. The calm, glassy water, the warm sun and blue skies, the shady coves teeming with bass and sturgeon--they're all part of a perfect vacation or weekend away. Water-skiers will truly appreciate the Delta's vast, open lanes. Smooth as silk, cool and crisp, the San Joaquin Delta is great for competitors and beginners alike.
When you cast your line in one of our quiet coves, you'll know what real fishing is all about. The weather is good year 'round, particularly from May through September, and the summer heat is moderated by gentle breezes that blow in from San Francisco Bay. In the evening there are fabulous sunsets over Mt. Diablo, while on the water, geese and blue heron grace the shoreline.
Here at King Island you can savor the classic California Delta experience, with its colorful history of river captains and explorers, and roaring Gold Rush towns. You can set a course for fun and excitement, or just a quiet place to relax and enjoy nature. A world in itself, the Delta has plenty of room to discover that special, spot for water-skiing, fishing or wildlife viewing. And don't forget the many great restaurants you'll find nearby. After a day of recreation you can relax with friends over dinner and a drink, then steal away to a private cove for the night.
Service and amenities include 296 in-water open and covered slips to 55', 24-hour boat launch ramp, fuel dock with gas and propane, general store, bait and tackle, clean restrooms and showers, laundry facility, picnic areas with tables, and more.
If you want to feel like you walked into the kitchen wherever he says howdy and hello. With a nice hot coffee and a huge breakfast lunch or dinner. This is the place to go
Not a bad place at all. As a night shift traveling nurse, I stayed here for about 4 months, roughly 4 nights a week. Travelers talk! I recommend this place. Chuck and Anne are honest and promptly corrected billing errors and found a spot for me for storage last minute. It’s no luxurious RV resort but it’s quiet, clean and I felt safe. There are a lot of mosquitoes that attract a lot of spiders, but management can’t control nature so it’s not a mark against them, the water smells like sulfur. I bought a filter that helped a little bit, just be prepared. Also, a lot of cats. No bother though, not 1 rodent! I would stay there again.
What a wonderful place to take the boat and the family. Wonderfully helpful staff. Will definitely be back !
The Delta is in hard times and so many marinas have gone or cut back. King Island is fighting to maintain and actually expanding. They are the only place for miles that has gas, propane, small store, laundry, restrooms, launch ramp, boat harbor, guest dock and very soon a bar & grill!
I live there and there are good people who are not out just for themselves. People enjoying the easy life. Give the shirts off their backs.
King Island Resort is very nice and clean .The rates are reasonable and the staff are friendly and will help you in any way they can .The Sunrises and Sunsets are spectacular . The new Restaurant and Bar is almost done , can't wait to give it a try . Guess that will be my next review
Sherrie the office manager is a great person to work with. Knowledgeable about the business of operating a storage and recreational facility.
For about 17 years we spent most of the summer at Eden Isle, a 5 minute dingy ride away! I have albums of pictures & many memories. Dan Williams danwillel@gmail.com We also had winter party's, I know what it is like to open my window so I could see the center line of Hwy 12!
Great food, great service, friendly staff I recommend the French Dip Sandwich and Onion Rings!
