Fantastic tasting experience. Really liked that I could "pick my own adventure" by choosing my own 5. Understood and appreciated the reason for reservations only, as I did feel it gave a better experience. Wife could get her 5, I could get my 5, we could share a bit and compare. Loved that. Beautiful tasting area. On a tour of Lodi, this was probably the most in-depth wine tasting knowledge conversations that we had, and both hosts showcased that. I appreciate that knowledge and knowledge transfer, thanks! Plenty of time for our tasting reservation, not rushed in the slightest. Was able to revisit anything we liked. Overall, great wine and a great experience. I'd come back.
Love the wine here! The atmosphere is industrial, but if you can overlook that, you are in for some good wine.
So my uncle brought the LangeTwins Rosé to a family feed and it was so remarkably good (even for this 99% only red wine drinker) that I knew I had to visit. Came in 30 minutes till closing on a random weekday but I still got great service and was welcomed warmly and didn't feel rushed at all. This tasting room is housed in a somewhat industrial facility (i.e. it is not out in the middle of a field of vines, but rather next to the bottling plant) but has tons of parking and a Tesla charger. The walkway is lined with seating areas and water fountains leading towards the main tasting room. In the tasting room, you can choose a few wines (was it 5?) off of their menu for the tasting. When I went, they were serving an equal number of whites and reds, so any palate should have options. Their tasting menu also has suggested cheese pairings and guests can buy charcuterie straight from the tasting room to accompany their wines out in the seating area. As per the wines, my personal favorite was the rosé, which was even better than I remembered. It's tied for the best rosé I've ever had with a bottle out of Napa that goes for 3x the price. With club discount, this one goes for only $13 (😱), which is a level of quality for price point I don't think you'll be able to find anywhere else. I was also quite pleased with the lineup of reds I tasted and walked out with several, again at excellent prices. One last anecdote: At the end of my tasting I decided to sign up for the wine club, and by the time I got home to SF, I had a handwritten letter from Katie, the person who handled my tasting, recapping our conversation and welcoming me to membership. That should tell you just about all you need to know about this winery and the type of people who run it. Would definitely recommend a visit!
