A Must-Visit in Lodi! My recent visit to Lucas Winery in Lodi was a truly exceptional experience! This multigenerational, family-owned boutique winery and tasting room is everything you look for: welcoming, friendly, and dedicated to crafting high-quality, memorable wines. The history here is incredible. They grow grapes from old-growth vines planted as far back as the 1920s, and you can taste the quality and tradition in every glass. Their commitment to excellence is clear, especially since all their grapes are still hand-picked. We loved seeing the ZinStar vineyard sign, established in 1933! A big shout-out to Noah, who made our visit even better with his knowledge and hospitality. If you go, I highly recommend trying their Cinsault—it was a standout! If you're looking for a special winery experience in Lodi, Lucas Winery is a must-stop.
If you’re looking for a winery where the wine’s amazing and the staff makes you feel right at home, this is the spot. We’d heard good things, but it totally exceeded our expectations. Our wine host, Fátima, was awesome! super knowledgeable and passionate about what she does. We’ll definitely be back and telling all our friends to stop by!
I now understand why they have a 5 star rating. Their wines are so different from the others in this area. They have made their Zinfandel a super star wine. The service is first rate and the atmosphere is delightful. Cheers 🥂
Excellent Zinfandel as expected, including a caramelized, with notes of dried berries, late harvest that resembles Port. This time, they also had a clean, floral, beautiful (one fermentation only, in new French casks if I'm not mistaken) Chardonnay from 2018. Remarkable. Tasting was guided by Marie-Lou, a wonderful person. They have a cute patio in the shade facing the vines, perfect to sip a glass.
